Something like this happened in Yosemite a few years ago. One person fell into the river above a waterfall and their 2 friends tried to help and they all three went over. Dropped over 300 feet. It’s gotta be tough to resist going in, but it’s better than everyone going over.

Play stupid games------win stupid prizes.

Never will understand people that do things that purposely put themselves at serious risk, especially the ones that do it for these u-tube channels where it's more of a "look at how cool I am" situation where shite can go seriously wrong real fast.

Those falls don't even look overly vertical, I doubt they could bit the bottom without smashing into the rocks multiple times.

I’m sorry to hear they died. Tragic waste of life. Not really very bright jumping down a boulder water slide. I’m sure the poor girl was dead 1/3 of they way down.
I wonder if they will be up for a Darwin Award?

It sucks they died. Nature is something that should be respected, not toyed with.

They didn't respect nature or park rules. You know sometimes rules are there for a good reason. Young adults who continue to lack impulse control tend to get into trouble or die. This is just dumbassery, plain and simple.

The group has a GoFundMe set up so they can profit off this tragedy.

We've had two people die just in the last week in Western NC near waterfalls. We've also had a couple of kayakers die on the Green River, which seems to claim at least one every spring.

People get stupid near waterfalls and rapids. No thanks.

It may have been at Vernal Falls...they had to wait a month/s or so till the river slowed down enough to get them out of the hole that the falls drops into. Not sure about that but it's what I heard and it seems possible because unless they come out naturally ...aint nobody going to get them.

A lot of these youtubers are just beggers. I can't believe how many channels there are now where people leave everything behind and just travel, and ask viewers to donate money so they can travel. Of course the money is to 'bring great content', but we all know they are just looking for a free, perpetual vacation. There's some soy boy jackass traveling around in a jeep and he's even asked people to purchase jeep accessories for him.

Just a bunch of grifters and losers.

I gonna go out on a limb here and say if you could ask dead people, most would answer would that No, they would rather have not died doing that thing they 'loved'
