Let’s at least have another no murder weekend again

At least we have reputable journalists at the advocate and WBRZ to call out completely inept local leadership

In order to shed light on the crime problem in BR, Nakamoto is currently racing to Clinton where he heard a parish councilman's cousin used a parish facility free of charge for a baby shower.

I’ve known this girl since she was 10. Good friends with her dad.

There is NO WAY this was drug related.

These are fricking heartless animals that need to be eradicated

Definitely doesn't seem drug related.

Our chief of police is a barely literate, retard so I’m sure he’ll get to the bottom of this

Seems like a dangerous place to be parked at 2am but I know college kids don't always think about that kind of stuff.

Is that just pure speculation on your part or do we know she was parked in that spot when she was shot, then tried to drive away eventually stopping were she was found?

wasn't implying it was LSU's fault, so sorry for the confusion. She was still a student and this is horrible PR for the university given this happened so close to campus and popular housing areas.

Agreed. And again, it seems like the city leaders are absolutely clueless when it comes to how negative publicity can impact your entire community. Why is it so hard for local politicians to avoid the hard hitting questions or facts that stare them right in the face?

Yeah that sounds like someone tried to carjack/rob her while she was stopped. Very sad.

Sure, but it's not directly related to LSU other than she happened to be a student there.

I get what you're saying. But when parents in, let's say Texas, watch the news and the headline reads "LSU Senior Shot and Killed at RR Crossing" don't you think it will sway their judgement about where to send their kid to school?

I would love for my kids to go to LaTech when they get that age. Ruston is quaint and it’s close to my hunting camp
