I.e. “It’s not fair that my shitty performance as LSU President has led to the school dropping in the rankings every consecutive year since I showed up. We should be recognized for lowering our admission standards and devaluing LSU degrees because it increased enrollment and diversity figures.”
Hopefully he's shown the door the second JBE leaves office next year.

Rankings suck. What is better an LSU Degree in Chemical Engineering or a History degree from Vandy. CE will start at around 95K and the history grad will, well I don't know what a barista makes

Kentucky at 132...not bad.
My daughter is looking at a highly ranked liberal art school with scholarships. Before some of you slam liberal art schools, keep mind, all the military academies, Colgate, William and Mary, etc are liberal art schools.
And before you fricks state good luck with her shitty degree and debt, she is fluent in Spanish and wants to study Korean and Japanese with music. She wants to be a translator when she is done.

At that level of undergrad quality, liberal arts grads are probably going to do pretty damn well.

Why should anyone give a shite what US News and World Report says in 2019? Let's go check and see what Readers Digest says about the best VCRs for the value.

I don’t see ULM in the top 10. Must be a mistake

I thought Tech was supposed to be a good school?
Only 271 schools ranked higher!
I imagine alumni donations, endowments, and professor salaries really drag us down in the rankings.

Florida ahead of UT does seem a stretch.
Perhaps, but Florida as a state is pouring a ton of money into its public universities. FSU rose to #57 this year, #18 in public universities. They are putting money into new teacher hires, STEM research and facilities, scholarships actually based on merit; while other states are cutting back funding. UF and FSU and the other FL publics are going to continue to rise in these type of rankings.

13 of 14 B1G schools in the top 100. Goddammit Nebraska!

How did Alabama fall almost 75 spots?
I think they reconfigured the factors a few years ago and it turned out to hurt UA a lot more than other schools. It doesn't bother me anymore because I know that the school is much better quality wise than when I was there. The incoming students are higher quality and job placement is higher quality as well. I know I sound biased but I think we are much better than our rankings show.

LSU has a similar argument.
But hopefully we use these rankings to support the case to get rid of F King Alexander.

The incoming freshman class for the fall of 2017 had an average high school GPA of 4.41.
They would have been ranked #32, but they have Flippy.
