Nah. You really only need diesel for a work truck. Let's say you have a 10,000 lb boat or trailer you pull on the weekends a couple times a month. 2500 gas is perfect for that.

You could get by fine with a 1500 for that. It all depends on how far and how often you use it. If you haul a tractor around occasionally or haul a fifth wheel camper...I would much prefer the diesel, with almost 3 times the torque and much better mpgs while hauling.

Agree. But a 2500 gasser makes it easier and safer.

People are dissing on buying the Duramax diesel if you don’t haul 12000 pounds behind your truck every day, but I bought mine because when I do haul my tractor or boat, I want that Allison transmission that only comes with the diesel.

Yep. I do have a 13K 5th wheel that I occasionally tow, but it’s so nice to have my Duramax when I (frequently) tow my 18 ft utility trailer with a couple of 4 wheelers and my zero turn. Could a gasser tow that? Yes. But, when I tow all of that to deer camp in south Arkansas, it’s nice to have a diesel pulling it as I can’t tell it’s back there.

I do not have truck nuts on my truck.

That’s a badass looking truck in my opinion. Too much truck for me though, I’ll stick with my 1500

All the newer trucks only have a pussified 6 ft bed
I'll keep my older truck w/8 ft bed.

Man I fix GMs for a living and I can verify that GM is pure junk. They are now worse than Dodge.

Well if you fix them for a living you are obviously going to see any and every issue.

Ford and Dodge mechanics say the same thing because it’s what they see everyday.

I think the front looks like a Ford, but the rest is okay.

You meant to say the back looks like a Ford, but the rest is actually pretty nice.

It's a big motha.

If you want to spend $45,000 on useless nonsense, go for it.

That'll look great sitting in the satellite parking lot of the plant while I'm working 90 hours of OT.

45k? you think this truck will be 45K maybe 65k-75k

you just have to realized there are some people with dropping that on a vehicle is nothing. I just enjoy pointing out this huge glass house we live in on the OT. Where everyone throws stones.

Isn't the 8' bed an option on all of them still?

or the new 2019 Ram 2500?

why do none of the other trucks have the optional boxes on the bed? Seems like a perfect use for otherwise completely wasted space.
