A good friend of mine would just disappear when we'd go to bars. He'd get hammer drunk, and just wander off. Sometimes with people he didn't even know. Just bringing the party with him wherever he went.

Not to cast aspersions or speak ill of the potentially deceased, but feels like this story is usually the person got super drunk and decided to try to buy drugs from some super sketchy local and it goes south.

Europe of 2026 isn't anything like it used to be. It's been taken over by non-native "citizens" and asylum seekers.
I used to solo travel there 15-20 years ago with no issue and now I wouldn't step foot there by myself. If you're dead set on going, only go in public in a group with multiple men who look like they can defend themselves. You'll still probably get pickpocketed, but at least you're less likely to get plucked off the street like this kid.

Europe is not the same. Especially the UK. They have opened the floodgates of illegal immigration and it has ruined so many cities. Paris doesn't look the same anymore. Looks like a West African street market.

The govt of Spain is pushing amnesty for close to a million illegals. I don’t think thats all of what they have. Besides the ones staying in Spain it gets some just passing through on their way to France or the UK.
