Youtube - NSFW Language

The woman pulls her gun and says taser taser taser. Then says oh shite, I shot him. It's so similar to the Dante Wright situation it's unbelievable.

For those of you who haven't seen the video, watch the whole thing. It's textbook in all things wrong with people when being pulled over.

The guy could have gotten a seatbelt ticket and been on his way but no.

My dad always told me if I ever got in trouble with the law, to just go along with it and have my day in court and fight it then.
People these days have no respect to for law enforcement.

Hey old friend! what was the disposition in this case? charges or what? I also agree that it could have been avoided and that is true in many of these scenarios, but it is really a separate issue., although we cant view them both in a vacuum separately. Police are woefully undertrained and unqualified. It is not their fault it's a fact.

eta I have not watched the video.

There are plenty of "confused taser with gun" cases out there. The one from the NYC subway was videoed and viral a couple of years ago.

Taser never should have shaped the weapon like a gun and I can't fathom why it has a trigger. Put a button or switch to activate it. It's electric, it doesn't need a trigger.

Pistol grip is very easy to aim.

Only difference I see is the cop in this video was a rookie and the one up in Minny had been on the job for 20-30 yrs.

All I know is she wasn't charged and she immediately resigned.

This is a problem but IMO it's not in the stratosphere of the problem that NO ONE wants that job. Cities are FORCED to hire people like this person who should NEVER be in charge of handling a weapon but they have no choice to hire because they have zero options. It's either hire her or no one.

He asked for a supervisor once he couldn’t get his way. Would that make him a Karen?

Just spoke with a retired cop yesterday and asked him about the gun vs taser thing.

He said due to the high stress of some encounters grabbing one and believing it to be the other happens more often than you think.

The only solution is to get rid of tasers.

But was it though? She easily could have killed her partner and the guy posed no threat to her life. It was the absolute proper time for a taser though.
