They made it through some straight line winds. They wouldn’t be alive if they had an EF3 tornado go through them.

They are also idiots. Great how the internet rewards people’s retarded behavior.

I’m not saying it was a scary situation, but if they were truly inside of an EF3 wouldn’t have the men, dog, and boat been sucked straight up into the sky?

They and the rest of the world knew there was bad weather coming that day. They went on the water anyway. Everyone’s phone has apps to track bad weather. They watched that storm roll in. They took forever to get their shite together. They fricked around and are extremely lucky they didn’t find out. Morons.

When a storm comes….get off the water quickly. Looks like that storm rolled on them fast.

The worst thing about this is that this wasn't a pop up storm. That storm was being tracked, with a confirmed tornado, for at least an hour before it got to them. They either had no way to get warnings, or they just ignored the warning.

Definitely a learning experience. At least they lived to hopefully not make the same mistake again.

I doubt their rain gear kept them dry. Did anyone get a feeling for the boat's spinning around or were they underway?

Lots of fishermen have those GoPro’s now. Never know when you’ll catch something cool - no fishing pun intended

The better way to put it would probably be that they survived an EF-3 producing storm. Not sure how close they were to the actual tornado, I just went with what the tweet described to be happening.

They should have been outta there way earlier than they did. I think they are super lucky to have survived.

The worst part about being hit by water blowing that fast (if you live) is it makes your skin stink. I can't really describe the smell, but it's disgusting and seems like it won't wash off.

Visibility was 20 feet or so there. The one we got caught in a few months back, I legitimately could not see past the hood of the truck. Absolutely terrible.
