people had to take responsibility for their actions back then. that's a plus. now.......you don't have to. lawyers will take care of that for you.

A man could work a regular factory job and live a nice middle class life while his wife stayed home. Communities were tight knit and people didn't lock their doors.

People loved their country, our culture and traditions were much more unified and in tact.

It's true as corny as it sounds.

I think the majority of people would rather live during the current time period rather than the 1950's.

That sounds horrible. You'd have to walk into the bathroom with a newspaper under your arm and everyone would know exactly what you were going to do.

Not me. We sold our soul. Society's atomized, people are isolated, neighbors don't mean much, and a lot more kids grow up listless with no clue what to believe in. Marriage, family, morals, and public schools have gone down the crapper, and generally both spouses have to work just to barely get by in the middle class.

But hey, enjoy your iPhone

I think the 90s were the best time to be alive. Cell phones and social media has really began to ruin society as a whole in so many ways.

But yes, I'd rather the 50s than today. Chivalry meant something, childhood innocence still existed, and people respected values, family, and their communities.

People had more class, but the tax rates were the most communist to date.

But over all, human evolution was still moving forward, unlike today.
