So why can't Chevy make a Malibu that goes 200k miles like a Camry?
They can and they do, Americans aren't as mindful on routine maintenance on domestic cars as they are on foreign ones. Trucks tend to be driven by people more concerned with maintenance too. Any idea how many Crown Vics there are with 400k+ on them in taxi service?

98 Toyota Landcruiser with 310K Never left stranded, but did replace hoses and radiator, serpentine belt (all rubber products regularly), water pump, cam seals, ball joints, rebuilt tranny, rebuilt alternator. You cannot ask for better from a 20 year old vehicle.
2002 Silverado with 280000 put one water pump on, one fuel pump, and put a new regulator on the alternator. No new cams seals, no new radiator, no rebuilt Transmission, and no ball joints.

I've taken every vehicle I have had to over 230k miles.
Current 4x4 is at 206k.
Looking for a replacement now actually.
I buy around 100k then run them until I get bored or someone totals them.

Great looking vehicle. One of the few that age like a fine wine.

I'm not going to condemn my vehicle but we're flirting with the 200k club
My timing belt threw at about 150k while I was idling
Only cost me $600

My Altima with 194k is going to need $1,000-1,500 in upgrades soon. Tires, tune up, wheel bearings
Thinking of upgrading. I do miss not having modern day technology like Bluetooth and satellite
