Is it possible the kid was practicing Riverdance, and the younger kids head just happened to get in the way?
I'm just spitballing here, but it's important to consider all possibilities.

Some people are born evil.

No way that charge actually goes through. Is there any way she would be competent for trial? She's 10 for crissakes.
I can’t imagine she will be deemed able to comprehend the gravity of the charges against her. A 12 year old in Michigan was tried & convicted of first degree murder, but there was premeditation in his case. His parents were crackheads who beat him his entire life.

Infants go in the baby room, older kids are supposed to be in their own separate area. Each child should have been under the care of a differed teacher
At 10 years old, she should have been at school.
I can’t imagine going to pick baby up from daycare and finding out this horrific news.

My God, that's horrific.

Her parents failed her....miserably...just shows how much damage poor parenting can have on a child's life.
I remind my kids every night to be honest and not to stomp on baby’s heads.

A terrible situation but a 10 year old shouldn’t be charged with murder. She dropped the infant and freaked out, I feel sorry for her.

That's a monster. At that age, you know right from wrong.
Exactly. At what point can we as a society cut bait with people that are clearly terrible people.

A ten year old may know it’s wrong but may not be able to control their emotions, fears, reactions like we would think. Dropped baby, baby crying, freaks out, who knows. It’s a terrible situation and I’m not casting blame on anyone.

Jesus, same small town the 21 year old mowed down 4 people while huffing. Chances this foster kid was born to addict parents?

Odds are even the most flattering scenario for the girl was horrifying.
But likewise odds are this girls gone through some terrible stuff that’s jacked up all kinds of impulse control that a 10 year old can’t address on their own.
Without knowing the specifics here, I’d guess there’s a good chance spending a decade in intensive therapy is possibly better than lining up 50 years in various detention centers/prisons

How about when their brains are at least fully developed?

She doesn't need a decade. Jesus, you people calling her a psychopath are clueless.
A year tops inpatient. If they had handled this the right way immediately (i.e. Not making it a criminal matter) she might not have even remembered it.

I don’t agree with you. I remember feeling bad about accidentally stepping on a frog when at her age.
She’s 10. She will remember intentionally stomping on a baby’s head forever.

Much older than 10 for fricks sake. She had to have been subjected to severe neglect or abuse to be removed and placed in foster care. Adults failed both of these children.
