Everyone needs guns for self defense until someone uses one and then it’s New Orleans is a shite hole.

This could easily apply to organized crime as well.

No, it still is. When I moved in to my current location, there was all of 1 murder dating back to 2014.

lmao

It is very high end as far as NO neighborhoods go. Apart from being behind the gates at Audubon Place, I am hard pressed to think of many better neighborhoods.

I live off Magazine and Webster. So 1 block East and 4 blocks down from where this happened.

I know I'm right. One day you're hanging out with the wiccans in the oak by the fly, the next day you're pushing up daisies.

A good friend (well past 20's) has lived near there for thirty some years.

He was shocked several years ago when he recognized the picture of the Tulane student shot dead after daybreak one morning on her way to work or school because she was one of those people you see often enough to speak to without ever knowing their names. "I saw her two days ago" ...well, that's the way random murders work.

I run up Magazine Street and usually turn around past Whole Foods.

This coulda been me.

Kinda makes you think.

I suspect it was over bubbly water based on the location of the crime.

Is the OP sure this is a murder?

I don’t see anywhere in the article where it says anyone was murdered.

“To hear a dozen gunshots Wednesday night near the corner of a children's hospital campus and rows of historic homes around Audubon Park was unusual. When residents found a man dead in the 6300 block of Perrier Street around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, they say it was shocking.“

Are you suggesting this was a suicide? LOL

I know that street well. I really wanted to buy the small, two story house in the middle of the block between Perrier and the park when it was for sale several years ago. The house on the park is that gray castle looking thing in bad shape.

Hopefully this turns out to be something residents can overlook. The final straw for Freret’s impending downfall in the 80s was the murder at the bakery.

Could be self defense

Where does it say it was a murder?

This is 2 blocks away from the house that Sean Payton is trying to sell.

This has all the makings of a targeted hit. Of course, over 90% of shootings in NOLA are targeted hits. There are very, very few random shootings in NOLA.

Said about a dozen shots. Someone wanted him dead for sure. If I had to guess, drugs. Rich people use drugs too and sometimes don't pay their supplier.

Most truthful statement in this thread, and the BR residents who shite on NOLA know it.. and they know that if NOLA is a shithole, then BR is just as much, if not more of a shithole.

But dont try to interject facts and logic into the Baw Bubble on here.
