Have heard WWL/Entercom has narrowed the list of candidates for the Saints play-by-play job to two or three finalists. No definitive word yet on who the finalists are. Stay tuned...

Sean Kelley is the prohibitive favorite.
Joel Meyers is a year away from being eligible for senior citizen discounts. I dont think they are going to want to replace another announcer in 7-8 years.

I guess I am in the minority but I say give it to Strief. I listened to him several times on the radio and he seems to do well. Obviously he loves the Saints and is very knowledgeable of football.

Why? They could easily do both. Not that many NFL games and the NBA season doesn’t start until beginning of November. Can’t be that much overlap.
Joel is probably better but Kelley would be really good as well plus could do it for 20+ yrs

I think Joel is fine where he is doing just the Pelicans games. I absolutely love Joel Meyers, but it would be hard to do both at the same time in the November/December/January months.

Strief doesn't belong in that group.
The other 2 would be fine. Strief would make more sense in a color commentary role.

If you watched or listened to Joel Meyers do the preseason games last year on TV he was terrible. I would hate to think the Saints are so narrow minded as to have not looked outside the local market.

Y’all may think I’m crazy but Zack still knows everything about the team and I always worry they can be too detailed in the broadcast and give tips to other teams.
