Rather a tie or loss? Go for the win
Why tie it up and give them almost 2 minutes to drive for a game winning field goal. Let us dictate the game.
Proud of my boys 2nd half effort.

Terrible play call from Moore as expected. He may be the worst playcaller in the league.
Lions have a great DC too, they took away Shough’s first option and he had to throw up a prayer

I didn't mind that at all.

Okay with 1:34 its unlikely they get in field goal range and a tie again gives us a half game. You are more likely to get a half game than the loss we just took bitch boy

2 was the right call. Take the 1 and Lions have 1:20 and 2 TOs left and a field goal wins it. If the Saints tie then lose on a 49 yard FG you'd be in here asking why they didnt try for 2.
Just got beat on the play. Primary target was covered. I would have liked to see the throw go to someone with a chance of staying inbounds, but I don't know anything about the timing and pressure of being a NFL qb.
Take the shot at 2. Force the issue and decide the game on your terms.

1:34 with 2 TO?
F that, go for the win

Too much time on the clock. And you probably couldn't stop Detroit from going 30 yards to get in FG range. Thats why he went for 2.

You’re trolling right. I mean you can’t be this stupid, right??

I'm one of the few who agree with you. A tie on the road in the NFL is an accomplishment.

The problem is the assumption that our shitty coverage unit and tired defense was going to keep Detroit from a winning FG at least.

I’d take a tie on the road over a loss

Coach Moore was correct. If you go for the tie you leave the Lions 1:30 on the clock for a chance to drive and kick a field goal but I didn't like the play call. i would have had everyone moving to the right with Shough rolling out with them and broke one player back to the left opportunity for a one on one. BTW Ettiene was wide open to the left no one within 20yds of him and the endzone.

Fair point, but why didn't they Saints go for 2 in regulation? They DID stop the Lions from driving down the field.

You could see from the previous Lions possession in OT that all the time on the field had the Saints D cooked. Giving the Lions 1:30 with 2 timeouts plus great field position (special teams suck) was a losing proposition.

Good point. I didn't factor in fatigue.

You play yo win the game.

Was the right call you can tell who doesn't know football. Ignorant question.

Call me dumb, but id rather lose while trying to go for the win, than to tie
