Yes but the defense was gassed. They weren’t stopping Detroit from attempting a FG

Tampa and Atlanta lost to AFC teams, while the Saints and Panthers have NFC losses.

Had the tie been guaranteed it makes a lot more sense. But a tie was the best outcome if we kick it with a loss being very likely as well.

Right call, too much time left for other team, they had a TO left, defense is gassed and just gave up a rather easy long TD drive. If you kick in that scenario Lions have all the cards and even something like a BS pass interference call could cost you the game.

I believe if there was less than 30 seconds left and Detroit had no TOs then you probably kick the extra point and settle for a tie.

Our D was tired and run down, we couldn't stop them. I think they still had a timeout left and too much time. We would have probably lost on a FG.
