Brees has the know how to win the rest of the games. If he does, it doesn't matter to me because he has lost my respect and he's been emasculated beyond recovery. Whitlock is SPOT ON with his assessment of BLM and the race baiters don't like it. Whitlock tells it like it is and because BLM is based completely off of LIES, they hate him. I hope Brees goes out 1-15 but even if he goes out 14-2 he's still lost my respect. He can move to Russia as far as I'm concerned and be with all this commie comrads.

quote:

I would like to apologize to my friends, teammates, the City of New Orleans, the black community, NFL community and anyone I hurt with my comments yesterday. In speaking with some of you, it breaks my heart to know the pain I have caused.

In an attempt to talk about respect, unity, and solidarity centered around the American flag and the national anthem, I made comments that were insensitive and completely missed the mark on the issues we are facing right now as a country. They lacked awareness and any type of compassion or empathy. Instead, those words have become divisive and hurtful and have misled people into believing that somehow I am an enemy. This could not be further from the truth, and is not an accurate reflection of my heart or my character.

This is where I stand:

I stand with the black community in the fight against systemic racial injustice and police brutality and support the creation of real policy change that will make a difference.

I condemn the years of oppression that have taken place throughout our black communities and still exists today.

I acknowledge that we as Americans, including myself, have not done enough to fight for that equality or to truly understand the struggles and plight of the black community.

I recognize that I am part of the solution and can be a leader for the black community in this movement.

I will never know what it’s like to be a black man or raise black children in America but I will work every day to put myself in those shoes and fight for what is right.

I have ALWAYS been an ally, never an enemy.

I am sick about the way my comments were perceived yesterday, but I take full responsibility and accountability. I recognize that I should do less talking and more listening…and when the black community is talking about their pain, we all need to listen.

For that, I am very sorry and I ask your forgiveness.

His exact words are here. I'm not seeing where he defends his stance at all. In fact, I'd argue that "In an attempt to talk about respect, unity, and solidarity centered around the American flag and the national anthem, I made comments that were insensitive and completely missed the mark on the issues we are facing right now as a country" is him saying that his opinion is wrong.

The problem isn't BLM but his arm strength and velocity. He doesn't have the arm. He uses his body to pass which decreases his accuracy.

Never thought he was the team leader but the media darling. The problem is Winston. My guess is Winston is viewed as the best Saints qb. Payton will have to start Winston or lose the team.

Now he’s tier 1

So back to my original comments...he never apologized for the kneeling comments. He apologized for the timing and lack of awareness.

Now go watch the video apologies as well and report back.

Jenkins might be the worse signing in Saints history. No only is he garbage but he destroyed the chemistry built over the last 3 years in a matter of days.

If that shite hadn’t happened, I definitely think Drew would have 2011 arm strength. I also think Michael Thomas wouldn’t have gotten rolled up on and hurt his ankle if none of that happened.

Brees has never been the most talented NFL QB

Wait, what the frick? Yeah I’m not down with that. Plain false.
There hasn’t been a year with an argument on who the best player on the team is outside of him until Thomas the last couple years.

Also Whitlock is clueless.

I said this last night:

quote:

When you watch a prison movie and one of the prisoners gets his manhood taken from him. That is drew brees right now. Now imagine having to play football in front of millions instead of hiding in your cell for a couple of months.

You know drew is hurting inside from just allowing them to stick it up his butt with no fight.

If you think that Brees has more talent than Mahomes you’re an idiot. Do you know what the word “talent” means?

And yet one side of the situation continues to dismiss or talk down any opposing point of view while pandering for “discussions” or “conversations”.

Drew is/was undoubtedly negatively affected by the character attack from his “woke” teammates. He doesn’t look the same. Not just his play, but his demeanor. His mojo was his character and his command of the locker room. That is gone. Tell me how Whitlock is wrong?

That's the dumbest thing he's said in a while

Brees's arm and checking down every other play has killed Brees's mojo.

Unless he means MT actually being hurt, then he'd be correct, but he didn't mean that.

Hes' not wrong. Motivation beside money help gives team that edge. Drew is just a player now, hes afraid to talk to his team mate and correct them in case he's label a racist if he said the wrong thing or use the wrong tone.

Thomas and Jenkins changed everything.

Funny how the same people on here who think his take is dumb are the same people thrilled with all the SJW bullshite.

One thing is clear. Maybe it's not to blame but it sure as hell didn't help.

So, they didn’t like him when he stood for a different opinion and agenda?

We can’t agree with him now for sharing something we believe to be true?

That seems quite close minded.

I loathe Jem Hill, but if she came out today and denounced all her race baiting and truly had a difference of opinion then I am man enough to admit I agree with her now. I don’t care to even judge her motivation behind it. I can still agree when I see something I believe to be true.

So wait...you're saying that after 14 years with the team, he's all of a sudden afraid to call out coworkers now because a few folks got wound up about some random answer he gave to a question, even though presumably he's never had any problems doing it before?

Telling these receivers they're running bad routes and having shitty timing is FAR from being racist. I know the melt's already started after losing 2 straight, but cmon now. Some of yall are better than that.
