A lot of tears in here. Brees' "mojo" has been going long before 2020. He is missing the best WR in the game. Every player named in this thread were the reason we had a chance to win the game the last 2 weeks minus injured MT. Put some respek on their names. I'm sure you will be on the bandwagon when MT and our other injured players return. For now, take your racist somewhere group meetings somewhere else.

"It truly is sad. Drew Brees used to be one of the most respected men in the NFL, and now he has been emasculated. The BLM folks hate him for his initial comments, and the anti-BLM folks don’t respect him for his apology tour.
In his attempt to make everybody happy, he has made everyone hate him."
Well said.

This. He was a man that led the team. Led by example. Did the little things. He attended practices and games while hurt. He was an impeccable leader of the mostly black city he plays for.
He took a stance not against anything, but for his grandfathers and their heroics of being military men. A scrub that was brand new back to this team, chose to put everything he had against his position out publicly instead of internally.
Brees is going through the motions. He was devastated by these actions for a group he has given everything for. He is now collecting a check. No more no less. Add that with his age and this is the version we get.

Yea millionaire Brees is out there JUST to collect a check.
Posted on 9/28/20 at 10:58 am to whoa
So you think he was going to pass on 30 million? He is there playing for his family and the check. If he was making far less, he would have retired and said frick this shite.

Ok. Glad you got this all figured out.

If only Brees had the smarts to respond smarter to a pointless question/interview at such a sensitive time in the world he wouldn’t be in this situation. Learn how to play to the crowd
And quit making excuses for a multi million dollar qb, DO YOUR JOB or give it up

Credit sean payton for letting that happen, he showed Brees where his loyalties lie.
He never defended Brees. And now I can't stand to even look at him. He could have said "I've coached Brees since 2005, he's not racist", and this situation would be much less, but no, crickets from the coach.

Yep, unfortunately Brees isn’t very smart. He only knows football

It’s as simple as this:
How do you feel about teammates kneeling for the flag?
What Brees should have said: While I’ll always stand for the flag and what it means to me I’ll also respect my brothers and stand with them in unity.
Play to the crowd and you still have your honor to the flag, respect of the team.
I’m a black man and I know Brees meant no harm by his comments but Brees should be smarter than that

the psychology (or the confidence if you prefer) of elite athletes is a notoriously fragile thing. Baseball players will wear a rubber band around their dicks if they think it will make them lucky. I have no trouble believeing that what happened in the offseason rattled his confidence and that, combined with his declining physical ability, has prodcued what we are seeing on the field.

The Blake thing on helmet was just a what in the living frick situation and threw gas on the flames.
Yep!!! Thats when he shite on the fans somewhat defending him or giving him benefit of doubt. Once "Blake" was put on his helmet any remaining respect disappeared.

nobody spends the week talking about receivers who go for 2 catches and 35 yards every week.
Is that how we’re characterizing Thomas now?

Pretty much all this. Brees should have been smarter. Saying that right there would have WAY more likely not have caused those issues

What killed his arm

Basically this. Although in his apology, he said his timing was terrible but that he still stood by his refusing to kneel comments. People are too fricking stupid to realize this tho.

yeah he didn't say that at all
plus he got bent over and forced to wear Blake's name on his helmet

Whitlock has gone full retard lately. This is one of the worst takes I’ve ever read.
