I consider him the glue that held the team together from 2006 to the 2009 championship. What say you?

He is one of my favorite Saints and one of the tallest Japanese players in the league at that time.

And slightly better than a quesadilla .

I don’t think he has the longevity to be considered an all-time great, but his likability and impact will definitely keep him in minds as a fan favorite for quite some time.

Good not great. Likable and solid intangibles but probably fringe top ten on that roster and much lower all time

My buddy was telling me earlier how sad he was that the Chiefs let him go before the Saints.

One of the First things I thought of rewatching the game tonight was how much I miss his play on the saints defense. He should have retired a saint.

You could tell that he was a leader for that defense. However, that was one of the most UNathletic defenses i have ever seen.

Fujita, simoneau, “fast” Fred Thomas, Harper, etc.

May have been smart players, but the lack of speed on that team was amazing. And on that night, they shut sown m. Vick!!

The Snow Patrol will always be legends.

I think the player that was helped the most by the SB would be Shanle. The way Scott Schanle is viewed by fans is changed completely because he was on that team.

Simple. He’s not. Solid player and brought a lot to our team during his years here but to say All Time Saint? He’s just not up there.

Really? I don’t know a single person that thinks Shanle was a good player. Most would admit he was adequate but some would say he was bad.
