He gets the yards but he'd be tantalizingly short of the TD record. I only think he retires if we win the Super Bowl. But I do see him retiring after next season either way.

Teddy will get starter money. His completion % guarandamntees it.

What's a stellar training camp...?

Were his stats down in said training camp..?

Guys yall are over thinking this bigly.

Teddy is the heir as long as he continues to show exactly what he did in the preseason.

Drew has this year and next year @ ~25million.

The Saints could sign Teddy to a 4-5 year deal (which would keep him here in his prime with the others) for 20-25 million. His 2019 Cap Hit could be something silly like 8 million dollars (since he would be a backup still) while dispersing the other 17 million (assuming 25 mil per year) across 4 years (assuming 5 year deal) which would be an extra 4.25 million on top of what he was getting for cap hits of 29.25 million the last 4 years.

Our team literally only grows in cap at the QB position by that 4.25m when Drew leaves (assuming Teddy signs for 25m per year)

Shitty Kirk Cousins would still be higher paid and I think Teddy in this offense is better than Kirk in Minn.

Teddy needs to earn the starting job first

No. No it doesn't. Not at all.

His completion percentage is good at 65% but the rest of his numbers are very underwhelming. 2015 was his best year and he went 3200/14/9.

But hey, Bortles landed a fat contract last year so who knows. Lot of desperate teams out there.

Lol he won’t be that cheap

If it’s not the Saints it will be someonelse that will get him starters contact. Not Jimmy Garoppolo, but Think Tyrod Taylor money

He needs to stay in the league till Brady retires to hold that title longer than a season.

I dont see him getting more than 25 without playing this year.
I could see them signing him for 2 or 3 years 60 mil.

His post detailed 20-25. All of which are very reasonable numbers if he's a guy the Saints are signing as their franchise qb for the foreseeable future. I sure as hell do not see a long term 15 mill a year contract being signed by Teddy knowing he's the man.

He could get stupid money depending on how many teams are shopping for a QB and who those teams are.

I’d certainly demand more from the Dolphins than I would from the Saints or Steelers given that the Dolphins suck while the latter two are contenders.

He’s not getting $20mil a year from anyone without playing in a real game

3/45 or 4/50, something like that

Paytons offense will change a little bit if or when Teddy takes over. Just think about it.

I'm not saying he would break the bank, but would fully expect for somebody to offer him $18-20mil/r,

What teams will even be looking for a QB next season?

Steelers - Ben

Patriots - Brady

Jaguars - Bortles

Broncos - Keenum

Chargers - Rivers

Redskins - Smith

Giants - Eli

Saints - Brees

Just about every other organization has a QB already.
