In today's league you are only as good as your QB

Ill agree with that if you agree that 4 games in is way too soon to panic

Where we screwed up was not getting Jefferson like I said over and over in the draft threads that year. Could’ve gave up a 3rd or 4th and moved up a few spots to get him.

Wouldnt be in the position we in now giving up the house for Olave

is this the only pick that you said we should take and we didnt? howd the others work out?? none of us know anything

you think you do, but you really dont know

Lol. Super high profile, huh?

I'd wager NOLA conveys the exact draft pick Olave was taken at...#11.

Olave is great. But this is a QB league. We are not winning any SBs and might not even make the playoffs with Jameis Winston. If that pick turns out to be a Top 10 (maybe even Top 5) I’ll throw up.

This coming draft will be full of high profile QBs. Stroud, Bryce Young, Will Levis, and Stanfords QB. Maybe some that I’m missing.

The chances of finding a great QB in Free Agency is very small. Yes I know, Brady and Brees came from free agency but you get the point.

Does no one realize the irony that Brees was a second round pick, Brady was a sixth round pick and Winston was a Heisman winning 1st overall pick.

I’m not sure if the OP is being ironic to prove a point or just doesn’t have critical thinking skills.

If that Olave trade prevents us from drafting will Levis then it’s a blessing. That dude sucks.

Getting Olave was a great pick and who knew Winston would look this bad

Anyone who’s ever watches him play.

True

Olave isn't a top 10 pick

If the draft happened again today, He most certainly would be picked in the top 10

The trade was bad itself but if the saints continue to be bad, it will be a humongous frick up

Looking like that was a mistake to not going after him.

I like how you included Standford's QB as someone we might be missing out on but not good enough for you to actually know his name.

There is a 2nd part to this plan and it means that Payton has to want to go there.

So maybe he isn't interested in Denver or New England. So that means it is down to Dallas and the Chargers.

I still do not believe that this FO is going to hold their feet to the fire. I could see Gayle and Mickey doing something stupid like thanking Payton for his years of service by letting him walk for a 2nd round pick or something like that.

My only hope on this is that the league rejects the trade.

don’t know how you can look at that eagles trade and think it was horrible. We got an extra first round pick this year

It was horrible, and Olave is not a #1 receiver. Great route runner, but he’s slight goes down easily after the catch and generates no YAC. He’s a complimentary 2 all day, but no team would offer a top 11 pick in any draft for him now that they’ve seen his NFL performance.

Olave is great.

No he isn’t. He’s just good. He doesn’t break tackles or create after the catch. He’s not a WR1 in an offense.

He’s good. But looks like he’s an elite Lance Moore with more speed. Is that worth what we gave up?

Shaheed seemed like more of the big play guy this year.

Olave is really good though.

Not sure why you're asking me that question when it's pretty clear taking into account the context of my post I don't think it's worth what we gave up now and certainly didn't think it was then.
