He does it on the Rant too, just to a lesser degree. He does give fair criticism a lot more than fans want to believe but he jumps the shark A LOT as well

Second half of this game was legit beautiful offense.

I don't like the downplaying of the starters not playing preseason specifically the QB1 by Moore though. Real reps matter especially for a young to the NFL QB.

His 2H was as good as his 1H was bad. They had 14 points off his turnovers, he gets the loss just like how he would’ve gotten the win had we pulled it out

I think the most impressive thing about him is how he stands up in the face of pressure. He was 16/27 for 3 TDs and an INT against Detroit’s blitzes. Complete opposite of the Carr/Jameis/Rattler error we endured for 5 years.

Shough is more than what we could have hoped for out of a qb drafted with a top 3 pick of any nfl draft. BUT BUT BUT on a way cheaper rookie contract.

Shough had the 3rd lowest time to throw in week 1. Detroit blitzed like crazy and confused the shite out of our offense and yet we still had some HUGE drops in the first half.

Only Mahomes and Brissett had less time to throw.

When you fall behind 21-0, have no running game and have to throw to catch up, you’ll get a lot of passing yards.

I’ll be more impressed when he and his head coach routinely start fast and win games. It’s year 2. Time for Kellen Moore to take off the training wheels and figure out how to get the Saints off to fast starts.

Right now we have a league with no true (well maybe 1) elite QBs. We have some very good to great ones, but no true elites. Mahomes and Allen have flirted with it, but they haven't shown the longevity of maintaining it. If a QB isn't throwing for over 4K yards every year, then he is not elite, especially now with the 17 game season.

-Brees went over 4Kyds 12 years in a row, 5 of which were over 5K
-Brady went over 4Kyds 15 out of 18 years, and 2 of those where he didn't were injury years

THOSE are elite numbers.


-Allen did it 3 years in a row, and the last 2 years he wasn't close to it
-Mahomes did it 6 years (7 if you count 3900yds), then had his injury last year. I will grant him a could be elite status if he rebounds and does it more. Really he's the only one that could be considered elite, but I put him a step below.


Shough as a rookie, if you ratio his played games to a full season, would have thrown for 3685yds. If you take this past week's game and ratio it to 17, then you have a 6970yd season.

Now I am neither saying he is elite, top 3 or will throw for 7K yds; however, I am saying in today's NFL he appears to potentially be one of the best in the league. Yes it's still way too early to tell or declare this, but man it does look promising right now.
