I love his energy, but looking at his stats and ratings he probably wasn't worth the headache of keeping in the locker room for another season. We just had to get him out is what I'm guessing.

Saints basically gave him away for nothing. He was drafted in the 4th, he out performed then they got less...

Only thing I can think is them wanting him gone quickly.

Clearly his attitude made it to where the Saints would rather dump him than have him affect the team.

I'm bummed at the trade compensation, but it's whatever at this point.

Then we're just back full circle to only being in that situation b/c of terrible cap management.

Who would you rather have over the next 4 years: CGJ or Marcus Maye? or CGJ v TM7? CGJ v. Hill? CGJ v. the ghost of Malcoml Jenkins?

shite obviously went South quickly once it was clear they weren’t going to extend him.

It’s not really surprising that the personality and fire we all love on the field burned the other way once he wasn’t happy.

I would have just played his disgruntled arse rather than take a 5th and 6th damn

First of all you basically got 2 safeties for the cost of williams.

You may want to go look up what we paying Maye and Honey Badger before making that statement.

Plus one is over 30 and small, other coming off a major injury.
Williams has been injury free and just entering his prime. Don’t forget these facts….

Yes it is

Saints must have wanted him gone in a BAD way

Whatever. Defense is still great, I’m moving on already.

Damn. Did we not try to call the Texans? They suck at trades and would have given us a couple firsts and a Snickers bar.

We could have kept him, benched him, and gotten much better value in comp picks

Comp picks are only given if more is going out in free agency than coming in. It’s hard to predict that type of stuff. One big free agent and the comp pick for him is gone

I figured this woukd happen once we signed Honey Badger. You either had to move him to SS and see how he does and pay him or sign someone else and that’s what we did.

But that’s shite compensation. We gave up a third for Roby. We should have at least got a 4th for him. He really outplayed the round we took him in.

Or even signing someone like Andy Dalton ruins it
