Teams is chasing a ring Don’t have a need for a 37-year-old bench defensive end who wants a big final payday. We’re in a Dog shite division, with a good chance of making the playoffs. And he’s got enough equity here that he’s gonna get solid solid playing time. That should be incentive enough for cam

Cam just didnt want to leave New Orleans. His whole family is used to being here. Not going to uproot them for one season in some random city he isn't going to retire in.

Coach Moore mentioned at his press conference today that Cam was coming in to talk to them. Glad to see it got done

Nah, guys like him and AK41 are a rare breed playing their whole careers for one team. As long as it is financially feasible to keep them, let them retire here.

Sadly other teams had plenty of opportunity to sign him if a contender needed a vet edge that could possibly approach 10 sacks again this season. If nothing else be a solid rotational piece and a veteran leader.
No one offered him a deal he was willing to take to chase a ring.
Either the league is betting against him having yet another good season or Cam isn't interested in chasing rings, only finishing what he started in NOLA.
IMO I think it's the latter. Cam never seemed to me to be really serious about playing anywhere other that New Orleans.

Would rather an upgrade > Cam.
But I'd rather Cam > trading a 2nd/ 3rd for someone who could end up with similar abilities to Granderson.

No offense, but what does it matter what you think?
If he wanted to "chase a ring", presumably he could have done that. Even if it may have been for less money. Apparently finishing his career in New Orleans meant more to him that simply chasing a ring with whatever team allowed him that opportunity.
