IMO, Vele is the most valuable receiver we have.
Olave has improved but can't do everything we need
Was Delp the biggest draft bust or what? He's not even thrown to!
We have Barrion returning kicks because of his jet speed. Why does he never see the Offense?
This organization is dysfunctional

And we drafted an often injured 1st rounder who we won’t see until the season is out of reach.

Olave is averaging 107 yards per game through 5.

Vele is averaging 50 yards per game through 5. Vele has a valuable role and is a good contested catch receiver but to say he's the most valuable receiver on this team is just an idiotic take. Olave has been a top 5 WR in the NFL so far this season.

I’d like all defense, but wouldn’t mind an athletic tight end.

Olave is protected because of his head injuries. They're not going to run him over the middle of the field, so he is left running routes by the sideline. Defenses know this. If you have to call plays so a player doesn't get injured, there's a problem.

I’m still trying to figure out why Lance is even rostered.

He has a very limited route tree and teams are aware of it, but he's still putting up 107 yards/game?

He looks lost. Never open, no separation, and can’t catch. Not a pro caliber player.

Delp has more penalties than catches. Has Fant been thrown to more than a handful of times?

I ask the same thing about Brown! They need to get him involved more often than just kick returns and jet sweeps.

Receivers is low on the list of issues and that’s without Tyson.

Top receivers through 5 games. Receptions-Targets/yards/TDs
Olave........39-54 / 537 / 1
Vele..........25-37 / 252 / 2
Johnson...25-32 / 248 / 3
Fant...........9-13 / 73 / 3
Lance........5-16 / 57 / 0

Having TE2 with more catches & yards than WR3 is not ideal. If I would have told you that through 5 games we are only averaging 81 yards rushing per game we all would have expected WR3 to average more than 1 catch per game.

I'm not knocking Lance's potential and what he might achieve one day but it just does not look like he's ready yet. He at least is giving effort on run plays, and by all accounts is a good teammate.

Can Barion Brown really not offer what Lance has given?
Trey Palmer made a few great sideline grabs in preseason.
Kevin Austin Jr I'm not too high on because I think he has a low ceiling, but his floor is higher than where Lance is at currently.

He was drafted as an insurance policy in case of Tyson getting hurt. He's not bad, but Shough is looking at him in sometimes impossible situations.
