Based on what? Has he even been able to stay on the field for us for a whole season yet? Our fan base gets so delusional sometimes. We need to take off the black and gold glasses. Does anybody in the NFC South fear Mark Ingram when they have to play the Saints?

That's fine, the deal is done. Hell I hope he runs for 1500 yards and scores 20 tds. I just have no faith that he can even be consistent. Yes he did have his best season last year and still couldn't stay healthy. Again I hope I am wrong, but I know I am not.

13/16 games, 3 being games for a hand injury that he played through vs. Cleveland very well before he sat out.

I think his contract will end up being around 3 mil a year. They will definitely give him some sort of signing bonus and 4 mil sounds about right.

He definitely took less to stay here. Gerhart got $3.5 mil per last year and is no where close to as good. Gerhart has never had more than 109 rushing attempts in a season, even after he got paid.

Mark loves it down here in New Orleans. He's been saying he wanted to be here in the papers but I know for a fact he's been saying that off the record too. The contact at 4 million is a great deal for us no matter how you look at it. Ingram could have scored a 4.5 to 5 million contract somewhere else.
