re: Russini: There's "scuttlebutt" that Moore allegedly "may" decline job due to QB room

If Moore has any sense, he should decline it. That would help push Loomis out the door. I just can’t see any coach staking their future on Carr or Rattler or Haener.
That’s not how it’s gonna work

Moore is not a bitch, he will build a culture here with Carr and Ratt. 3 yrs from now he will be rocking this shite.
This franchise needs an alpha. He just might be that guy.
If not we start over.

Had the chance to have a qb piece, plays absolute hardest im meaningless games

Well if he says no, and Rizzi is heading to Denver, then are we really calling Ed O at that point?
Jesus this is embarrassing.

And what qb piece would that be lol? Last year was the year to tank for a qb.
Next years class should be a lot better with more choices.

Not sure Moore comes off as an alpha

I have to believe it is already a done deal.

From Jeremy fowler at the Senior bowl yesterday
The third meeting after the superbowl is just to try to demonstrate they didn't do anything before the game so the Saints don't get punished like the Cardinals did.

Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is the favorite to land the Saints head coaching job, to the point where people with the Eagles are bracing to lose him. Moore is putting together ideas for staffing and other New Orleans candidates have essentially been put on ice. But I'm told Moore wants to get through the Super Bowl game-planning before making any determinations

Has nothing to do with him being an alpha or not though. Has a lot more to do with being at a fairly significant disadvantage competitively in his inability to overturn a mediocre aging roster. If he could just come in and cut the crap and start making moves it would be great.
Unfortunately he’s stuck for a bit.

He’s stuck for a season. Some of you should stop being such whiners.

Some of you should stop being so damn sensitive to simple discussions being “whining.”
How do you pussies even go through life if talk about a billion dollar franchise makes you feel so affronted?

Not affronted. I just think the idea that this is some 3-5 year rebuild is emotional garbage.

Aka. Not be a bitch. Come in and clean house. Confidence goes a long way.

It's more about math than emotions.
There was always a point in this plan where Loomis was going to have to start overpaying and extending marginal vets. We started that last offseason with Cam and continued it this season with AK.
If we extend Derek Carr this offseason, will you feel the same way?

I’ll give you one example why it’s a multi year rebuild:
Kamara will count frickin $19M cap fully guaranteed in 2026 at 31 years old.
Saquon at 29 in 2026 has a cap hit for Eagles less than $6M.
Another piss poor extension by Loomis and will saddle Moore for years.

I hope he says no frick Loomis

To the pumpers, the cap is a myth and Loomising is still their mantra.

I am not sure if he's even a pumper, but I'm addressing him trying to dismiss the 3+ year rebuild.
If we extend Carr this offseason (which is almost mandatory), it's hard to see a way that it's not a 3+ year rebuild simply due to that albatross.
If we extend Carr, I'd really like to see the math on how we can cut him before the 2027 season (without pushing an incredible amount onto 2028)
If we cut Carr, we basically have to do the same extensions 10x over on smaller contracts with others, so it's largely the same net impact (just easier to discuss with a single contract)

We might suck for 10 years. If Moore is good and we hit on 6-7 draft picks and 3-4 cheap FA signings in the next two years we could be good in 2027.
The NFL can turn very quickly.

If any team can get 10-11 studs in 2 years yes their fortunes will turn quickly. Our scouting department and Loomis haven’t shown that acumen in years.
