Who does he remind you of? Can't say enough about his aggressiveness and tackling ability.

And still, his coverage ability has not been talked about enough

Luke Kuechly, but he needs a number in the 50's and a neck roll before he starts to look bad arse!!

I can't recall his last missed tackle. He's automatic.

I'm good friends with Dick Butkus' nephew, and in our Sunday conversations he usually brings up his uncle whenever I bring up Werner, so.. he's sure sold me.

Saints hit on a linebacker in the draft. How refreshing. Dude is an absolute stud.

This was funny

Or the LSU fans who said we should take Jabril Cox over Werner

Or the guy who said he would’ve taken Dylan Moses over Werner

Or the guy who said Kyle pitts would eat Werner’s lunch for years

Werner has been amazing, but he's not Kuechly or David (Both of which were top 3 at their position), elite in coverage, elite vs the run, forcing turnovers, and racked up sacks.

Fred Warner for SF is probably the better comparison currently.

Correct, but I think his game will get there.

What's funny and sad at the same time, when Haslett, a former linebacker, was coach, our linebacker drafts were the sedrick hodge and cie grant lol

I know Luke Kuechly is a popular comparison and a good one at that with Werner’s football smarts and instincts but I’ll throw out another one a lot of Saints fans should remember because he gave us hell for many years. Keith Brooking. He was the guy that made the Falcons defense run in the late 90’s to around 2010. Smart, fast and was quick to diagnose a play and then attack downhill just like Werner.
