I mean I think his scheme is probably predicated on two positions not being injured for it to work and that's way too fragile of a scheme to gamble on IMO.

Also, we have to consider that Rob Ryan doesn't really stay very long wherever he goes after he wrecks shite in the first year and then declines.

It's time for a change at defensive coordinator.

Are you trying to get every football coach in Louisiana fired?

But, in seriousness, unless he chooses to leave, odds are low. He's protected by the fact that the rest of the team sucks, too so that will buy him another year.

Jabari Greer and Keenan Lewis was the corners last year. Once Greer got hurt we started playing worse. Fast forward to this year. When you have Corey White, PRob, and Dixon (UDFA) as 3 of your 4 Dbs getting PT, than you have bigger problems than the scheme.

0% he is gone

He's not going anywhere unless a great DC gets on the market.

This. Payton has done a worse job than he has this season. Since he simplified things after the Bucs game, it's been more of an injury/talent issue than coaching. Individual players (mostly White) have gone full retard at the end of a few otherwise good defensive games.

Offense was worse than defense AGAIN today, and AGAIN everybody seems to be bashing mostly the defense.

Not really. White played well last year as our #2 CB.

I'm not willing to blame the performance of the defense on the coach. Schematically, it's been fine since the first few weeks. Players need to play better to put it simply. If you wanna look a little bit deeper, you should be furious with the GM and HC who have drafted poorly at the CB position, signed bad free agent LBs, and been putting way too many UDFAs on the field. There's just not enough talent on that side of the ball to be successful, and that falls on your HC and GM, plain and simple.

Also when you have the talent that we have on offense and continuously shite the bed week in and week out that's 100% on playcalling

I'm still convinced a major issue of this team is on position coaches.

Both were really bad. Defense couldn't get off the field. Bengals were 9 of 13 on 3rd downs conversion and zero turnovers. That's not winning football either.

10 points at home with a healthy offense against the 30th ranked defense in the NFL

Please tell me where all of this talent is? Our guard/center trio maybe the worst in the entire NFL. Cadet is garbage as a pass catching back out of the backfield. Stills hasn't progressed in his second season like many thought he would. Cooks has made big plays but disappears at times. So does Graham. Colston is washed up. So is Meachem. Morgan saw his first action today since game one. Ingram has been good but it should be an eye opener the lack of big plays off of play action with the recent success of Ingram.

Whoever had the idea to play Brian Dixon on AJ Green the majority of the 2nd half should be fired tonight.

They sucked way before the injuries. This year they declined to shore up the secondary because they banked on getting the same pass rush they got last year and that simply is not happening.
