My Quarantine Mock Draft 1.0

1.24. Brandon Aiyuk WR 5'11" 205 AZ St
Aiyuk is the consistent explosive-play-machine the Saints have been missing. Where he helps more than Ginn: He isn't long ball dependent, he can turn short passes into longer gains. Also tracks the deep balls well. Route running needs a little refinement, but that is fine as he looks to be WR3 early on. Huge wing span, big hands. Suffered from poor QB play.
Pro Comp: Greg Jennings, Chris Godwin
3.88 John Simpson OG 6'4" 321 Clemson
Wide shouldered, punishing run blocker who has pass protection traits that you can work with. 2 year starter at Clemson. Many Guards later in the draft lack pass pro qualities. Well accomplished HS wrestler. Love these types on the interior line. They know how to win one on one.
Pro Comps: Spencer Long, Kelechi Osemele
4.130 Markus Bailey LB 6'0" 235 Purdue
Bailey's 2019 ended with ACL surgery a few games into his season, otherwise would probably go off the board higher. Also had ACL as a FR. He's a two time team captain at Purdue, has led team in tackles as rFR and JR. All Big 10. Over the course of his career has proven to have good ball skills (6INT) & ability to get to the passer (13.5 sacks). He's not huge, but is rangy and athletic & has high football IQ.
Pro Comp: D'Qwell Jackson, Tahir Whitehead
5.169 RB DeeJay Dallas 5'11" 217 Miami
The draft room fought over Dallas vs Eno Benjamin, another pass catching-adept back, but Dallas won out because of his size and pass protection. You put on Dallas' tape and he immediately reminds you of Pierre Thomas. Kinda has that boxy upper body & longer legs. It doesn't look like he's moving fast, but everyone is going by him. When you watch him, you see a lot of things you like; he's patient, he can catch the ball, he has great contact balance, he pass protects. He plays some special teams. While he may lack explosive HR speed, he makes up for it with those other thigns. Would be a versatile weapon that could has the traits to even start some games if another back were to go down.
Pro Comps: Pierre Thomas, Joe Addai
6.203 FB/TE Josiah Deguara 6'2" 242 Cincinatti
Deguara is Cincy's all time leader in pass catches for a TE (cough Travis Kelce). Team Captain, 1st team All AAC. He has played some HBack at Cincy, and was invited to the SR Bowl as a Fullback, which is where I could see the Saints trying him after Zach Line's retirement. He pass catching traits, obviously, but needs more time as a blocker.
Pro Comps: Kyle Juszyzyk, Dan Vitale

This is exactly what we’re trying to avoid at the LB position. We’re prob getting someone without the injury history

It’s a 4th Rd pick bro, you shoot your shot

Certainly checks all the boxes

all i want to know is was jefferson gone at 24

I honestly believe the Eagles really want Jefferson. And I’ve been seeing they may have to trade up to get him.

Love, I think he beats out Warford by mid season

Love
I like Bailey and Dallas too. Great mock, but I think they trade away a second round pick to gain an early third to take a RB or maybe someone like Zuniga or Dantzler. Going to be tons of good players left and I can see Mickey and the boys wanting to double dip

Yeah that’s a solid mock draft tbh.

Jefferson will be gone, either to the Eagles or Vikings

Eagles have been talking to Denzel Mims a lot as of late. May have accepted that Jefferson may not be there.

I wouldn’t be terribly upset about this. I wouldn’t be overly excited about it either. I just don’t see us making all of these picks. Only a couple players will actually make this team.

Aiyuk, Simpson and Bailey absolutely would

Pretty solid draft. Everyone on this list has a legitimate shot at a roster spot. Aiyuck would immediately step in as our number 3 receiver on big play threat alone. You are not giving his routes to Tre’Quan. Simpson comes in immediately better than Clapp who is horrible by the way. Bailey will make the team. We have a hole at linebacker with the departure of Klein and have 2 injury prone guys. Deejay Dallas will compete with Dwayne Washington. Deguara will compete for starting fb. Let the best man win. The best you can ask of your 5th and 6th round pick. I believe we also have two additional roster spots with the new agreement if I recall correctly. If so Deejay and Washington could both make the team.

i like his ability to break tackles. We are seeing more missed tackles into today's game so this is a huge plus.

Great draft for need Lester. Would love it if it shakes out similarly.

I see 2 which is the top 2 making the team. I don’t think taking a lber that has 2 acl injuries in the 4th is some sort of answer for the issue we have. Alonso and anzelone both can’t stay healthy. And an injury prone backer is supposed to be the answer to that? I disagree.

They can always trade away future picks to get an extra third to get Harrison or Wilson
