He’s exactly the style of player we need but paying him 10 mil is a joke.

We need a tough slot receiver who can stay on the field and block on run downs and can make tough catches over the middle while actually getting separation

I want to reiterate though, I think signing Jarvis would be unwise.

I think we would all love to have him. Hometown dude who can ball.

But he doesn't deserve #1 money and we cant put that much cap space into a slot WR

MT13
Landry
Ginn
Chark
(Dural?)

That would get us off to an intriguing set of receivers.

Jarvis is probably the most pure ‘football player’ I’ve ever seen... I’m not sure what you’re talking about

I guess the rest of the league and just on pins and needles waiting for good ole Snead to be released!!!

Take off the LSU glasses and see who is being disingenuous. If he had not played for LSU, I bet you could see that he is not worth what he will get for what we need.

He may not even make it to free agency.

Snead caught like 5 passes last year. How can anyone say Snead is better than Landry... I get Snead is way cheaper but he was very unproductive last season as well. Landry is a sure thing and would compliment well with Thomas

and what are your thoughts on Snead's numbers in 2015 & 2016?

And what is that you think we need that will solve our 3rd down woes??

The same woes that would have prevented the Minneapolis Shitshow.

So you think it is wise to spend $12-$16 million on a slot WR and pass on other needs? Honestly, would you think the same if he had not played at LSU?

What does LSU have to do with it? I barely post on tRANT.

Paying him 10 million im okay with.

Would essentially remove the need @ TE. We could draft all Defense if we wanted too but even @ 10 million we could still sign Okafor.

Yall must have less faith than I do in our Defense. It was top 5 when healthy.

Im amped about the defensive improvement, but we're still far from a great defense.

Like you said 12-16mil gets you an elite player or 2 plus defenders.

We had 3rd down woes, but we were still prolific. There are cheaper options who can likely improve the offense. There's likely no cheap options that can improve the defense.

We lost 2 games on failure to finish on third down, and essentially went home for the season on a failed 3rd and 1.

We convert that, Vikings don't get the ball back.

That failed 3rd and 1 was always going to be a run play. Landry being here doesn't fix that.

What does win us that play is a pass rush

How do you know Sean wouldn't of thrown there?

He's done it plenty times before.

Point blank he trusted Ingram and Kamara more than any of his receivers not named Micheal Thomas.

If you think Jarvis changes that call

The only big dollar receiver I would even consider was Allen Robinson and Jax is leaking they intend to tag him.

From a value standpoint the Saints can get a much better overall return by looking elsewhere. Plenty of cheaper WR options will be on the market.

Josh Gordon
Sammy Watkins
Cameron Meredith
Marquise Lee
Donte Moncrief
Paul Richardson
Jordan Matthews
Taylor Gabriel** one of my favorites on the list and has game breaking speed. Like Ginn a year ago you hurt a rival if you pry him away.
Quincy Enunwa

Saints have plenty of options they can vet through.

@ you if you don't think he wouldn't have.

Sean has thrown on 3rd and 1 more than enough times to draw the ire of Saints Talk.

Because you literally lost a game on a bad pass play instead of settling for a tie.

Literally would be a favre esque play to throw a pass and get it picked off. Then lose because you got Gungho instead of kicking the FG.

Decent Field goal range, you just run it and pray you get a yard while burning clock or time out.

To end a game, yeah and it bit him in the arse the last time he did it. He had a phenomenal 2nd half in play calling, why didn't he throw it then? Landry doesn't change that situation and play calling. He has Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara, he chose to run.

Thats been the case all season, it's been all about ball control.

We don’t need two of them. We need someone to compliment Thomas

The Saints receiver led all receivers with 15 or more targets on slants with an 84 percent completion rate (21 catches on 25 targets for 213 yards). Sterling Shepard of the Giants ranked second at 81.8 percent, according to Sports Info Solutions.

But Thomas has always been excellent on that route. More interesting was that he became equally proficient on out routes. He caught 82.4 percent of his targets on the route (14-of-17, 106 yards), which ranked second in the league behind New Orleans’
