Add Sammy Watkins and Dallas Goedert and this offense is Lethal.

I don't think Landry is going to get $14 mil from anyone. I know that whats his agent wants but he knows he won't be getting that. I see it more from around $8-$10 mil per year.

Now that I look at I really could see the Saints making a run. By comparison the Packers have 3 wide receivers getting paid over 9.5 Million per year. The Saints highest paid WR is currently Ted Ginn making over 3 Million. The Saints know the window is small with Brees having 2 more Elite seasons. Jarvis would be a great addition at around 10 M per year. You could still add a piece on D via free agency and then add other players via the draft. Adding another pro bowl WR to this team right now will be tempting.

could be an interesting option on a solid deal

Sammy Watkins

love the talent but man that guy cannot stay healthy. He was also basically a non. It'll also be interesting to see how the rams handle that, they paid up for him and didn't exactly see much in the way of ROI on that. Do they franchise him because of already sunk costs or cut bait?

I'd be cool with this. Sammy Watkins & Paul Richardson are the 2 best value contracts in free agency imo. Just saw this cbssportline article about F.A. WR from a couple weeks ago. 2018 F.A. WR's

Sammy Watkins was considered the best wide receiver in a stacked draft class that also included Landry. By just about any measure, Watkins has been a disappointment insomuch as he hasn't lived up to his draft station. It's not his fault that the Bills traded up for him when Odell Beckham Jr. was still on the board, but the former Clemson star has just one 1,000-yard season in the NFL and that came in 2015. The Bills cleaned house after the 2016 season and the new coaching staff and front office traded Watkins to the Rams where he showed those same glimpses of potential but managed just 39 catches for 593 yards (though he hauled in eight touchdowns) in 15 games.

But Watkins is only 24 years old and in the right system he could flourish. The big question, of course, is what is the right system. First-year coach Sean McVay took the Rams one of the league's most impotent offenses to one of its most high-powered and yet Watkins still didn't quite fit in. But his age, size and athleticism will mean he won't be a free agent long though there likely won't be any big payday coming his way just yet. Spotrac pegs Watkins' market value at three years, $17.9 million. An established team with other playmakers probably best suits Watkins. The Falcons or Saints could make some sense, and no one is ever surprised when the Patriots take fliers on high-profile players who have previously underachieved.

Sammy Watkins market value
Paul Richardson market value
All the other top level WR's will break the bank. Terrelle Pryor is a good option of medium risk/high reward. He shouldn't cost a whole lot.

What does LSU have to do with it? I barely post on tRANT. Paying him 10 million im okay with. Would essentially remove the need @ TE. We could draft all Defense if we wanted too but even @ 10 million we could still sign Okafor. Yall must have less faith than I do in our Defense. It was top 5 when healthy.

If Jarvis played for Indiana I doubt there would be a multi page thread on him.

Has anyone mentioned John Brown from the Cardinals yet? He had a really good rookie year, a great 2nd year, an average 3rd year, & this past year was sub-par due to injuries.

He should be relatively cheap, & he's a proven deep threat. He's also 27 years old.

I agree, love to have juice but if it came down to him or Ansah I go Ansah All day, that would check off a huge need on the field and give us the better chance to go BPA in the 1st

He has sickle cell trait

RE: Sammy Watkins

His numbers weren’t there but the threat of him opened up a lot for the rest of the guys in that offense. Look at the intermediate work gurley woods and kupp did. Think Kamara and MT and a TE... and Brees and SP would get him the ball like they did w cooks

3 years for 18 on Sammy...I know the risk but that is insane upside for a guy who could help blow open our offense. I am not sure if it is wise but I would sign him to that in a heart beat.

Watkins and Ginn would take the tops off and Thomas and insert anybody you want would feast underneath.

I think the biggest thing and Sean is pretty good at identifying it...manage those reps and don't treat him like a starting WR even though he has starter talent.

Supply and Demand...Economics 101

Would have preferred to have him on the market...but poorly run franchises tend to always overspend and destroy market value.

Can't wait to see how much money the Jets throw at some of these FA QBs

well there is no negotiating the franchise number. Doesn't really affect negotiations of other players. It's set on contract numbers already in place

Think the rams franchise him though, can’t see them just letting him walk after giving up good value to acquire him

He's probably talking about a trickle down effect. The number 1 UFA WR is off the board, but the number of teams looking for an elite WR is still the same. Theoretically, it should equate to some guys getting paid more due to fewer options by the teams looking for WR's.

That being said...I really didn't want to pay Landry 14 mil a year.
