re: Hashtag for next season

What was the point of such a shitty off topic post?
After being injured for multiple seasons, he had a bad end to last season after the boogie trade. Signed the big contract and started the season poorly. People were upset, nothing said in this thread was incorrect except the tyreke reference. Everyone acknowledges he’s picked it up and everyone is happy for it. Bumping this thread doesn’t prove anything except that he played poorly at first and is now playing well.
None of those layups were easy, he just made them look effortless.

Anyone have a gif of his dunk in the first quarter? Was that with his left?
Well he was playing like dog shite then. Literally dribbling the ball off his foot with the game on the line, dumb turnovers, not being aggressive and driving to the hole, just all around passive and scared (not to mention hurt the majority of the time). Now he’s playing like one of the best guards in the league. It’s night and day difference.
Toronto - 5
Boston - 6
Philly - 4
Indiana - 7

Minnesota - 7
Golden State - 6
New Orleans - 7
Utah - 6
I agree with Teddy. After it hits the floor, it’s a loose ball. The only time a play keeps going after the buzzer is a shot which this is no longer. If it’s a loose ball anywhere else on the floor, they don’t wait to see where it goes, the quarter is over. It would have to go in before the buzzer. What I would be interested in is, how much of the ball has to be in the cylinder for it to count. If it’s halfway in the rim and the buzzer goes off, does that count?

Tackling Diggs wins that game too
I believe the word you are looking for is affect. Affect is typically used as a verb while effect is typically used as a noun.
quote:

Drew - 4400 yds 31 TDs
Kamara - 1700 total yds 18 TDs
Ingram - 1400 rush yds 12 Yrs
Thomas 115 rec 1300 yds 14 TDs
FLEENER -65 REC 800 YDS 8 TDS (Y NOT)

Jordan is DPOY
M. WILLIAMS 90 TKLS 8 INT leads league(IT COULD HAPPEN)
Lattimore stakes claim as best CB in NFL
Saints have top 5 defense

Damn, all this in the off-season?
That would be 6’3 Allen Hurns and 6’3 Allen Robinson. And Marcedes Lewis could be very good with a good QB, who btw is 6’6

Doubling down on Asik was a giant mistake but other than that, Dell has done well. He brought in Moore who’s playing lights out, Jrue is playing up to his big contract. Brought us Cousins. Got mirotic and he can make great small acquisitions like Miller and Ayon. Jury is still out on Solo but that doesn’t seem too terrible.
An appreciation for what? That one jump shot he had against Minnesota a few years back? Or the constant fumbles and misses?
I guess I'm wondering if they just pay the tax one year, then get rid of Mirotic in a trade or let him expire and not pay the tax the following year? He has this year and next year if they pick up the option, correct?

Also, was Chicago planning on using the team option on him next year? Seems like he would be a FA anyhow?
could they just pay the tax?

Why aren’t they all blowing out knees in the playoffs then?

They’re jealous and they hate winners. Haters gonna hate. Look at the patriots. There’s absolutely no reason to hate them, bellichek or Brady, yet more than half the country does and no one has 2 emotions regarding the Browns. It’s simply you’re too good and make it hard for everyone else boo hoo so frick you.

Think about this and do you agree? Had the jaguars won this Super Bowl and the next two, they would be seeing patriots level hate even though everyone loves them now
He called you a chain smoker. Are you mad??? Are you offended?? Huh, tell us! Well you should be.
Replaces the friendlies with more meaningful games and you can qualify for the euro
Or you could, you know, just not watch it and not bitch about everything
We should have cut that clown Brees after he threw 5 ints vs the falcons

Seems like everyone was able to switch and stay in front of their man. Good defense from the end of regulation through OT

Was hoping this would be an Arden Key thread. Disappointed
We could sign jimmy graham to like a 3 year deal and then trade him to Seattle for Wagner and their first. I’ve seen it happen before, swear

So Fairley is done with football? What happens to his contract?
I watched all 4 games on illegal internet streams. I know, badass. But just saying that my viewership was still there without it being counted. Which ironically last year when I had cable I didn’t watch all the games
So they started the tradition that the Thursday night kickoff game would be hosted by the Super Bowl champion in 2004, here’s the results of teams that won the Super Bowl and the next season home opener

2004: Pats win both
2005: Pats win both
2006: Steelers win both
2007: Colts win both
2008: Giants win both
2009: Steelers win both
2010: Saints win both
2011: Packers win both
2012: Giants lose opener
2013: Ravens lose opener*(see weekend warrior79’s post)
2014: Seahawks win both
2015: Pats win both
2016: Broncos win both
2017: Pats lose opener

So that puts the super bowl winner at 11/14 in opening night for a winning percentage of 78.5%. A quick google search showed that the average home winning percentage in the NFL is about 57% to 60%. So this is about 20% percent higher odds in favor of the home team compared to an average NFL game.

Of things to note, the Giants who were the first defending Super Bowl winner to lose the following season opener were just a mere 9-7 when they won the Super Bowl and the ravens who were the second team to lose were just one game better at 10-6. This Vikings team is 13-3.

Furthermore, the saints are 0-2 in these games getting curb stomped by the colts 41-10 (Jason David being the lone saints touchdown) and then barely getting edged out 42-34 to the packers.

So yes, based solely off this, I’d rather not play them week 1 in Minnesota and start the season off behind the eight ball for the 5th year in a row.

Oh but I do, cause I’ve seen it before plenty of times. Why don’t you go check out the nuggets game this year and last year.

And I’d also like to state that’s the only thing I’m bitching about and every Pels fan should as well. AD is on fire and you don’t even look at him but you keep running this play for Jrue that never works. Apart from that, this was the best game the Pels have played all year (and Jrue played awesome). Just minimize turnovers and you win the majority of the games.
