Hill can still be the starter.

That finger is fricked. Hill was throwing bullets on target before the finger injury. After the injury his throws were getting progressively worse and he threw a lot of bread loafs when before they were bullets. I think the finger greatly impacted his throwing ability. Its a damn shame people are going to ignore the finger and think he can't be a starter. Bad luck for Hill with injuries, terrible timing. Unfortunate turn of events. This season is cursed.

Did he break his finger last year too? Dude isn’t a starter.

Hill sucks as a qb.

He is not Qb and not very good, he was missing passes before he hurt his finger, stoo making excuses for him, people were blaming other people when they were playing good. The organization gave up on the season when they didn't replace Jameis after getting hurt.

If the organization gave up on the season they should be giving Ian Book playing time for the remainder of the season to see what he has and give him experience.

More than 50% of his passes were 5 yards short of wide open receivers

I just don't believe in Taysom Hill the QB. There really isn't anything that he's shown that makes me think he gives the Saints a bright future or a chance to win now solely being the starting QB.

I believe he can 100% be the flex player the Saints need him to be while absolutely earning the value of this contract. I don't doubt that at all.

But the Saints have a very tough question to deal with next year. They have to move on from Winston and Hill just doesn't work. They have to go out and get Russell Wilson or Aaron Rodgers or make some kind of deal for a QB because what they have now is just middle of the road meh that won't win them any playoff games or championships. The window is closing on the roster.

The experience of running for his life 80-90% of snaps? Just drop him off in the wrong neighborhood in the city and he can really get that feeling.

The OL is utter shite. Don't make the rookie play behind that.

re: Hill can still be the starter.
So, all season the board complains about the lack of weapons on offense and it why the QBs are struggling. Are fielding a mash unit on the o-line now down 3 starters, and used their 9th different set-up in 12 games (that's unheard of). And, how these veteran QBs are struggling with pocket presence considering the o-line issues. But, lets throw in a rookie with absolutely no experience and just see what happens.

Are the fans trying to pad the IR stats?

Which is why he should not be starting the rest of the season. You have to go back to Trevor. I did not hear the diagnosis, but the way they were looking at it and how they treated it; it looks like he snapped the tendon in the 1st knuckle of his middle finger. There are 2 ways to fix, rest and hope it straightens back up; or surgery. Either way, he'll be in a splint for a minimum of 4 weeks

Hill has too much muscle mass to be a QB

re: Hill can still be the starter.
If anyone in the league determined that he had starting QB skills, he would already be a starter in the league. Instead, he’s the third choice for the Saints—the team that knows his skills the most. Once and for all—Taysom Hill is NOT a starting nfl qb!! Forget it

I don't think Hill is the answer, but this isn't fair. After the finger injury he was far more ineffective than before said injury. He flashed a bit before that. It is a shame because the answer is still incomplete and had he not gotten injured, the path forward would be far more clear.

Is he the QB of the future? Probably not, but that cannot be 100% answered given the injury.

Why? They were 5-2 with him as a starter and he was getting progressively better. If he’s able to come back at 100% we can absolutely win with him under center

Upgrading from Winston would be great, but we can definitely win with him. Anyone stating otherwise didn’t watch his progression.

We are spoiled because we had a HOF QB that half the fans wanted to get rid of. Now you understand why the older fans wanted to keep Brees into his 60s lol.
