Probably won't be as good as people think. But it is the type of move that you think about going forward. You are not going to pay Olave what he will want so best to get out now. PRobably won't pay Shaheed what he wants either.

However, you do have to think about taking away our best WRs for your developing QBs.

Not me.

I'd take pretty much anything that was offered because I wouldn't re-sign him after this contract.

Hypothetically let's say that Pittsburgh is interested in CO.

Would ya'll be cool with getting a 2nd and 5th and sending them our 3rd?

We'd get like ~ 50th and 170th and send them our ~ 68th.

Maybe if Olave hits benchmarks with them (they make playoffs and he plays in 75% of their games we only send back a 4th instead of a 3rd).. something like that.

Whoever trades for him likely has to sign him to big $$$ this offseason in order to keep him happy, which prolly limits our potential return.

This board has been saying this for a year now. Do you think Mickey finally became a member to get clues what to do?

Didn’t underhill say he’s heard that Olave’s value around the league is a 2nd round pick?

If we can get a 2nd this trade needs to be done ASAP

If we can get a 2nd round pick I'll drive him to his new city myself.

Never been an Olave fan. He's never done anything to try and sway me either. My disdain all started when he had the balls to ask for the #12. Then he follows that up with his inability to consistently make and secure clutch contested catches when we absolutely needed them most. Hopefully we can get something of value for him if he's traded. If not, Mickey I beg you, do not to give this guy a massive contract.

Team already picked up the 5th year option on him. He’s under contract through next season

I know but if he gets traded he would expect a new deal before 2026 season. That would likely be factored into any trade and used against us.

It will be a 2nd or a 3th plus a 4th imo.

I don't see moore letting Shaheed out the building.

His contract will be interesting because I thought he would've broken out more by now. Having rattler and this underneath offense this yr might help keep his contract down.

Either way I'd be shocked if moore let's Shaheed get away. I don't think moore loves olave.

frick that guy, he’s soft as Charmin. Addition by subtraction. Take your 5th round pick and the cap savings knowing you don’t have to pay him like a WR1. He will be a good WR2 on a playoff team but he’s going to want more $$ than that. I would rather pay Shaheed knowing he wont expect anything close to what Olave wants.

The problem is Mickey will send the team a pick as well.

A team giving up a 2nd for Olave would be shocking. Then throw in a 4th as well. That would be an unbelievable offer. Saints would be very lucky to get that.

Trading a 4th for Vele and then trading Olave for a 5th would be hilarious and on par for Loomis

I’ll bet you all the money in the world we don’t trade Olave.

I am not saying he shouldn’t be traded. But I am saying that he will not be traded.
