Owner oversees he GM and the success of the team.

Loomis has overseen the draft, player decisions, and hiring of the head coach. Last five years have been atrocious.

Allen oversaw the keeping of Carmichael and signed off on how we played.

Players tried to tell us they have had enough with this horrible situation.

What does the owner do?
Nothing.

Therefore the GM and coaches can run it back with the same disaster.

My hatred for Gayle grows daily. She is the cancer.

Does anyone really think Gayle gives a rat’s arse about how the Saints do?

Gayle never wanted to be an owner. She inherited the team because her late husband gave it to her. She’s not like most owners who buy a team because they want the competition. Thus, she doesn’t want to be involved with the day to day decisions because she’s not a football fan. She wouldn’t really know what to do even if she wanted to.

Your hate is somewhat misguided. I’m sure she’d be happy to sell the team if she could guarantee it remains in New Orleans. Do you have a spare $billion lying around?

I mean probably not ideal for an owner to not give a rat’s arse about the success of their team right?

People love to compare her to Jerry or Carolina dude without considering there is hundreds of miles of real estate between completely disinterested and meddling.

If I had the money, I would buy the team and build a new stadium on the north shore.

I would build bullet train tracks across the lake on both sides of the causeway in one big loop.

Fast and easy access to the game. Party in the quarter in minutes and have a safe clean new venue to watch the game.

frick the mayor of New Orleans for taking home field advantage from the Saints in the playoffs.

All of this is centered around Mickey trying to prove his point that he can win without Daddy Sean. This is personal for him, and it’s coming at our expense.

She is a woman who married into money. Do not blame her. It’s Tom’s fault. She has never built or maintained anything in her life. Tom was thinking with his heart(or something else) and not his brain. He put her in a no win situation. Bad business decision.

Everything you say is true, but what choice did he have other than selling the team?

She seems like the type of parent or grandparent who can enable an addict son, daughter, grandson or grand daughter by making excuses for them & supplying money. The type who refuses to see the truth & hold someone, even a family member accountable for his/her actions. Oh, let's just pray on it & things will get better type instead of being proactive to make changes themselves.

She’s busy in that gold mine again. That woman is one hell of a miner but it takes time and patience.

With the type of money she has, she has the ability & the means to seek outside help & insight to determine if those who are running her sports franchises are actually making intelligent decisions towards onfield success.

It's becoming obvious the Saints organization has become a good ole boy's network of friends where no one is willing to challenge or hold one another accountable. Just being average or making stupid decisions that go unchecked is running rampant inside the Saints organization now.

this ^^^^^^

rita and the rest wanted the team moved out of new orleans to the highest bidder.

tom did what he thought was the best chance for the team to stay. i think where he failed was not having a guy put in place to run things for her and let them handle team business

1) she doesn’t care. She cares more about helping cover up pedophilic clergy’s indiscretions with the money.

2) she is a gold digger and always will be. She wanted the money and now she has it.

3) expecting anything of real improvement with this organization or the Pelicans in the most no run is wasteful thinking my

They all have their money and none will let it go. Being an owner to her isn’t about the money. It’s about the power that comes with it. Gold digger won’t give that up.

If Gayle did not own this team they would not be in New Orleans. Period. There are no other local buyers and any non-local owners would not keep the team here long term no matter what they say.

Do people here really think Gayle is involved in the operations of either the Saints or the Pelicans? Gayle is the owner but she is not particularly interested in controlling what goes on within the Saints or Pelicans organization. She pretty much counts on Dennis Lauscha to oversee both teams, Mickey Loomis to handle the Saints, and David Griffin plus Trajan Langdon to handle the Pelicans. All she does is show up for photo ops etc.

Is that ideal, probably not. It is better than an overly involved owner who knows little to nothing about how to run a team or even a business.

Gayle has no clue about football
All she cares about is her money and social status
