What would it take for Golden Tate to come to NOLA? His last three seasons salary are $4.75 mill, $6 mill, and $7 mill

My hopeful targets:

- Adrian Amos - Safety
- Grady Jarrett - DT
- Golden Tate - WR
- Rodger Saffold - G
- Jarred Cook - TE
- Cole Beasley - WR

Bucs can save a nice chunk of money by releasing DT Gerald McCoy and he would be a great fit with the Saints. McCoy and Brees have trained together in the offseason for years and always speak very highly of one another. Just something to put on the radar.

Other player to keep an eye on is Tyler Eifert. Constantly injured but may be too tempting to pass up at a bargain.

No way we can afford all of those. We’d be lucky to get 3. If I’m picking I’ll take Grady, Tate and Cook. Amos will likely re-sign with the Bears. Someone will overpay for Saffold. And I simply don’t want Beasley

Ingram will be easy to resign.

I don't understand why so many people seem to think this. This will likely be Ingrams last chance at a significant payday. While he loves the Saints and the Saints love him, a team is going to offer him more than the Saints and it may be his last time to cash in.

His chance at a Last big payday? Most running backs are over the hill at 30 and Ingram is about to turn 30. He’s not going to get big money. Teams aren’t going to want to sign him long term and pay out a lot of cash for a running back that’s over 30.

Ingram has less tread on the tires than most RBs at 30 but it will lower his price significantly

Trade Bridgewater and Apple and get a 1st round pick,

Sign WR Tate and CB Darby (for the right price since injury prone)

Sign TE Cook

Draft Future QB in 1st (Drew Locke maybe?) or maybe DL or S

A lot of defensive talent this year, at all levels.

Yes, Tate should be the #1 priority, but depending on what he’s expected to be priced at. $10 mil?

Tate will be 31. Teams aren’t exactly going to be jumping at the prospect of paying a 31-year old WR a ton of cash. But he is extremely talented.

8-9 million sounds about right

On Offense:
-Figure out the Bridgewater situation.
-Look into TE Cook or via the Draft.
-Beasely and Tate are nice options at receiver.
-Sure up the depth along the line either in free agency bargain bin and/or draft.

On Defense:
-Address the Strong Safety spot. Vonn Bell has shown imporvements. Kurt Coleman is a stop gap. There are options in free agency here.
-CB is always an area of concern with us. PJ hits free agency but Patrick Robinson comes back from injury.
-Linebacker looks strong.
-Defensive Line looks strong, minus the Rankins injury.

Mickey Loomis turned a penny into 30m + with that Byrd contract. Dont count him out.

Were gonna go in dry next year. Starting with the Rams first.

Well no, of course we can't afford them all, but those are some I would focus on.

I do think the Saints need to address the safety position. Marcus Williams was out of position a lot, Coleman was a complete waste of money, and Bell actually improved and became a really solid player. But they force no turnovers.
