Continuity.

I love it. We keep on checking off [NEED] boxes prior to the draft, as per usual.

We have an open board. Best available talent: Come On Down!

Team “needs”:
- RB3
- QB3
- WR3
- TE3
- LT2
- LB2
- CB4

7 players of depth. We’re in great shape. You can fill a few of these spots with affordable free agents. 5 or so in the draft. And round out the roster with undrafted free agents. The restructured contract of Janoris Jenkins should allow for the relatively minor moves to happen easily.

It’s nice to know that all starting roles are sown up. An athletic linebacker like Queen or Murray would be nice to pair with Davis. And a Slot/Shifty/Speedy receiver would give this offense even more of a boost. Perhaps Harris can develops into that? Also a Tight End of the future would be welcome.
Bell is going to Carolina. They just released Eric Reid to make room for him.

We gain leadership on the back end. CGJ still gets to play "rover". All good.

Stingley or Chase
You guys do realize that he went back and ran in the 4.5's at his pro day, correct?
Currently have a 6 and 2- 7ths, until we package all that to move up again.

I think running back is on the table. We have zero insurance if, God forbid, Kamara goes down. We could use someone on the team that can replicate his role in the offense.
You basically have to look at Macus Davenport as your 1st round selection. Teddy B as your 3rd. And Eli Apple as your 4th. Once you mentally apply that, it makes the class easier to accept. Plus, they’ve all had the benefit of a year in the system.
I'd like to see New Orleans consolidate picks. Walk away with 4 or 5 guys who have a legitimate shot at cracking the roster. We've got what? Roughly 47 roster spots solidified. This off season you'll have 43 guys battling for maybe 6 reserve roles. I think that's the beauty of this draft. It's that no matter who we select, at any position, that player is very unlikely to have much of an impact on the team this year, unless a (knock on wood) plethora of injuries. It would be nice to see them bump a few spots in the 2nd and target a guy. It would also be nice to see us make a move for a 3rd rounder. A swing Guard/Tackle could make the roster. A 3rd Running back, preferably one that can pass protect and catch out of backfield as insurance for AK41. A Receiver or TE of the future. And on the defensive side, a #4 DE. Depth at linebacker and a #3 Safety could be in play. Hopefully day 2 will exciting for us. Lots of talent. Its a deep draft. Ireland will figure it out. Sean and Mickey will make it happen.

How about the fact that November is all divisional games? Interesting. Bulk of seeding will be decided right there.

Agreed. He can do everything! Except catch a football.
Come on down for the summer! We've got a wide open competition for that #3 Back Spot
I actually agree. We just don't have much roster room for low impact/ developing guys to make it. Package up the 6's and 7's, add them up to bump a 4 or bump our 2 up a few spots. Target 3-4 guys, go get them, and call it a day.
Duk Nutzzzz!! I'm a huge fan. Plus the dude who runs it is cool as hell
York will either win us or lose us the most games of any freshman.

You’d have to imagine Stingley, Thomas, and Emery will play large roles. #geauxtigers
On Offense:
-Figure out the Bridgewater situation.
-Look into TE Cook or via the Draft.
-Beasely and Tate are nice options at receiver.
-Sure up the depth along the line either in free agency bargain bin and/or draft.

On Defense:
-Address the Strong Safety spot. Vonn Bell has shown imporvements. Kurt Coleman is a stop gap. There are options in free agency here.
-CB is always an area of concern with us. PJ hits free agency but Patrick Robinson comes back from injury.
-Linebacker looks strong.
-Defensive Line looks strong, minus the Rankins injury.
