Figure out the Bridgewater situation

There is nothing to figure out. He's going to walk and some team will pay him decent money based on potential. We can't tie up $40 million in the QB position for two players, one that won't even play. He walks and we get a comp pick...maybe.

Look into TE Cook or via the Draft

Yes to both

Beasely and Tate are nice options at receiver

Tate would be great with us. His price however may be scary.

Sure up the depth along the line either in free agency bargain bin and/or draft.

An absolute must

Address the Strong Safety spot. Vonn Bell has shown imporvements. Kurt Coleman is a stop gap. There are options in free agency here

And maybe even free safety as well. I'm hoping Williams can get back to rookie season form. He took a step back this year, but so did the entire secondary.

CB is always an area of concern with us. PJ hits free agency but Patrick Robinson comes back from injury.

PJ's DWI sealed his fate. He's gone.

Defensive Line looks strong, minus the Rankins injury.

Need a DT to work back Rankins.

This is a phenomenal free agency for defense. Not to mention players like Suh and Wilkerson, both Saints targets who took one year deals elsewhere. Neither was really great so both could be realistic in signing.

Mickey Loomis turned a penny into 30m + with that Byrd contract. Dont count him out.

I'll always bring this up when people say we have no money. Still remember the absolute shock by the media and complete melt on the Falcons board when we signed him.

Sadly the joke was on us

We won’t be big players in free agency because we don’t have much $$ to spend. We need to first bring back our guys, mainly Ingram and Okafor (he can opt out) but also glue guys like Robertson, Banjo and maybe Bushrod for the vet minumum. We only have $11 million in cap space so Kurt Coleman and Cam Meredith will almost certainly be released giving us another $8 million in space. Peat played fantastic but we would save $10 million by trading him and Cameron Tom proved he was capable of starting. That did I think the better move is to sign Peat to a long term deal giving us more room $$ to play with. I would guess the best we do is 1-2 2nd tier level free agents so throw out Grady Jarrett (I would love to have him but he’s about to get PAID$$) Golden Tate, Jared Cook, etc. If Adam Humphries can be had a decent cost he would be a great addition but guys like Cole Beasley, John Brown and Tyrell Williams are more in our price range. We will need to make our 2nd round pick hit, possibly a TE or corner depending on what they do with PJ Williams. I expect Loomis to trade draft picks from the 2020 draft to move up into the early rounds this year and possibly trade someone like AJ Klein for picks. Tyrann Mathieu would be great but he’s not a fit as he’s best at the line of scrimmage and we already have a fantastic box safety in Vonn Bell. This team doesn’t not have many holes just areas that need depth. For once I believe offense will be the priority this offseason as Loomis and Sean have invested heavily and smartly on defense the last 2 offseasons. Time to give Drew a couple new weapons from the bargain bin.

Like a broken record every year, and yet the Saints are always signing people and in play for some big names.

I'm pretty certain he'd be just fine at home now.

He would probably live in Chateau or Old Metry and never go into the city besides on game days.

Yes he would but rumor is he’s seeking a contract with AAV of $10 mil per year. That’s way out of our price range when we have to pay Thomas soon. Maybe Cole Beasley for 3/$15 is a better option.

I think cole Beasley would be a great fit here.
Humphries wants 10 mil and tate wants 16mil which is super high and the saints aren't paying that and y'all should know this by now.

I could see Beasley signing here.
And the honey badger is not the same player more name than game at this point in his career

And I simply don’t want Beasley

Not sure why. Very good hands and gets open in the slot regularly. Might be a perfect fit since we really haven't had much luck finding a reliable slot wr.

Lol, you really think anyone is paying Golden Tate 16 million a year?

I’m confused. Based on what I saw this year, secondary was our biggest position of need. Why wouldn’t we go after a free agent corner at least?

I don't think you'll see the team go out and pay a receiver. I feel like they'll bank on the development of Tre'Quan Smith and the health of Cameron Meredith.

Michael Thomas, Ted Ginn, Cameron Meredith, Tre'Quan Smith, Keith Kirkwood isn't a good set of receivers if all is right. I could see them going and adding a guy that's not expensive (but not super cheap either) as an insurance policy.

I think you'll see them address TE, and there's only one on this list. I wouldn't mind adding another pass rusher on the DL, preferably an interior rusher.

We have our 3 starters under contract. Latt/Apple on the outside & PRob in the slot.

We definitely need a backup at outside CB, b/c we can't exactly count on Crawley. It would be nice if Crawley reverted back to his 2017 form, but it wouldn't be wise to assume that will happen.

Definitely need a backup to PRob in the slot. Either re-sign PJ Williams or find a good value vet F.A. contract.

Not gonna happen. Word in Chicago was he was soft and would milk injuries and not play thru it. Him and his agent overcame those rumors, but Saints got had on this one.
