How many of you that feel we need to move on from Drew were dedicated fans of the Saints prior to his arrival?

Additionally, please rationally explain in detail why you want him gone next year.

I don’t want him gone but I think we should definitely have a suitable replacement sitting on the bench waiting in the wings and learning

I totally agree with that, but I'm referring to those posters that constantly bash him like he just flat out sucks. I really don't think they understand what a truly horrible quarterback looks like.

I’ve been a fan my whole life and don’t want him gone, but.... In our entire lives, we were never a team that any QB in their prime would ever come to unless it were the only option. In this free agency year or the next one, we have a team and a coach that can attract the best, so wouldn’t mind playing somewhat hardball and doing a one year deal or entertain Cousins.

Pats, Saints, and Packers
- All 3 have drafted QBs in the past few years
- Only Packers still have a backupQB they drafted

Fully expect both teams to draft one this upcoming season as well.

Anyone who really wants him gone is insane. Even if he drops to 75% of the Drew we know, he's still got the smarts and experience.

The two teams playing tonight are starting Jacoby Brisset and Brock Osweiler for Christ's sake. Elite, or frankly even just good QBs are very hard to find.

All that said. I'm all for continuing to look for his successor.

We need our Aaron Rodgers. I think we draft a QB in this upcoming draft. That being said I think Drew and Brady will still be playing in 2021.

Top Prospects:
Josh Rosen UCLA
Sam Darnold USC
Baker Mayfield OU
Mason Rudolph Oklahoma State

The nature of sports message boards is to complain and overy- criticize.

People got spoiled by Drew and forgot what the all the Billy Joe's and Steve Walshes of the world looked like. I'd throw in Brooks but he wasn't quite as terrible as them and did win a playoff game. Wanna see terrible just let drew get hurt or go somewhere else and we don't have a suitor.

DRIVEFACT: 99% of people in this category didn’t start watching the Saints until Brees got here

I’m just thankful we finally have a qb that doesn’t throw backwards.

Yea that’s on all sports teams though. They love them when they play lights out but make one bad decision and they want to fire them immediately. It’s so stupid. Saint would be in a bind without good or bad Drew Brees plain and simple.

So does every other team and fan base and look how few really good QB's are out there. Plenty of "suitables" to go around though.

In my opinion, I want drew to stay and play as long as possible

People talk about it being ‘easy’ to replace him (free agency, draft), but I think that couldn’t be further from the truth.. we are just so used to having drew, and I think a lot of people take him for granted

Look at LSUs situation.. everyone figured they’d knock the coaching hire out of the park, but given the money and people involved, nothing is a given, especially when it comes to QB play.. the last thing I want to do is bounce from QB to QB, looking for a decent replacement..

I feel like people just think that our offense is a plug and play type of system because drew (usually) executed flawlessly, but it’s really not that easy

Do I understand that we need to prepare for the future without drew? Absolutely.. however, I’m really not looking forward to it at all

Im in the camp of keep Brees as long as possible and dont even worry about drafting someone high up until he leaves. We have wasted enough picks already drafting QBs. The chance of striking gold in that scenarios are Astronomically low.

Agreed. They probably remember Aaron Brooks as a basketball player

Agreed. Hopefully we have smarter people in place now that we never have to suffer through an Aaron Brooks era again. If that player is Hill or someone in the draft this year, I don't know, but it would be nice to have him learning under Brees sooner rather than later.

There are a bunch of posters here who don't understand how lucky we are to have Brees. They obviously weren't around pre 2006. An aging Brees is superior to anything this franchise has ever had and I'm including Manning.

How many of these idiots think another Hall of Famer is just going to fall into our laps?

Nobody truly wants to move on from Brees. The people that say that are either trolling, or trying to be "edgy" No actual Saints fan wants to move on from him at this point in time.
