Are you not aware of what Sean Payton himself said. He seemed pretty clear in his press conference today that at this point he's not trying to coach next season.

But here you are claiming to have a source that says differently then the man himself.
holy cow, man. Do you really think Payton or Jones want to admit Jones has been tampering with a sitting head coach? Hence the term, tap dance.

The last thing someone would admit if they're "retiring" from an NFL HC job is that they're trying to coach again this next year. FFS.

If they want him it’s gonna have to be a Hershel Walker type trade. 3 1sts, 2 2nds, and a 3rd. Plus a few players

No one is doing this. Y’all will end up being respectful to the greatest coach you’ve had and let him go somewhere at minimal cost after he takes a year or two off.

When can he legally get the job in Dallas. Do the saints have the rights through 24.

He can “legally” get the job in Dallas tonight if Saints agree on compensation.

If Gruden went for 2 firsts and 2 seconds, Payton is going to go for at least 2 firsts these next two years, and 1 first his final year.

If y'all want to talk about a rebuild with a soon-to-be 63 year old head coach, y'all do ya thing

He’s been with Skylene for almost 10 years. The just married excuse isn’t valid. With that said, it doesn’t mean part of his retirement isn’t to spend more time with family. Payton and the offense coaches rarely come home during the season so I can see that as a legit concern.

I think he will coach again one day, but it won’t be within the next 5 years.

Dan Patrick was just talking about it. JJ will be 80 this year and isn't going to wait long.

Why is it so hard for people to understand that good coaches don’t want to coach under Jerry.

Normally I would agree, but Diana Russini had a good point. Sean wants to play for an owner that is going to throw a fit when his team gets fricked. Look how many times we’ve been fricked. Look at the penalty disparity. He knows that shite isn’t going to change unless he has an owner that is going to give Roger hell.
