Weighing nine pounds heavier than he did in Indianapolis weeks earlier (323), Carter disappointed in front of scouts Wednesday at his Georgia Pro Day, appearing noticeably out of shape while cutting his workout short due to cramps. Every team attended Carter’s showcase in some capacity with three head coaches—Mike Tomlin (Steelers), Arthur Smith (Falcons) and Matt Eberflus (Bears)—present.
Whether it was a lack of preparation or stress from his ongoing legal trouble (his misdemeanor charges carry a maximum prison sentence of one year, though probation is more likely), Carter couldn’t have picked a worse time to lay an egg, with whispers the 21-year-old could be in danger of falling out of the top ten.

dont know anyone who thinks getting olave was a bad deal, some feel we gave up assets that could better be used for filling holes we needed to fill, but in hindsight with MT being a bitch not playing, olave more than earned his value of what we give up with that trade
and if you go deeper as for what the eagles got with our #10 pick, they gave up a future 4th to swap picks with chicago to get a guy they wanted, who i feel compared to our pick at 29, i think breesus was the better player of those two guys and we got him at 29

Carter lasted to 9 because multiple teams removed him from their draft board. Olave would have been a top 10 pick in this draft. I think this is one of those trades that worked out for everyone.

Yeah, Olave is fricken terrible. Only 1000 yards in his rookie season and was pretty much all we had last year. Can't believe how bad of a move that was, especially with how reliable Mike Thomas has been.

If you say so bud. He could have folded under the pressure and been terrible, but he showed character and rose to the challenge. That's another badge as far as I'm concerned

i seen his inability to hold onto a lot of catches through and after contact. I saw a lowish amount of YAC. I see he's very polished with route running and is a nice WR option. I somewhat agree with Lesty when he argues if he's ever gonna be a true WR1 threat.

Carter has the potential to be a great player. I don't care that much about the street racing charge because truth be told there are probably several players in the draft who have participated in such and you just never heard about it because a person in one of the cars they were racing didn't die.
The bigger concern was the pro day performance. That's your biggest "interview" and you are so gassed you can't even finish a workout that is specifically designed to make you look as good as possible?
Most big men struggle with weight. So what's going to happen now that, regardless of if you never make a tackle in the NFL, you have secured more money than you (and most people) have ever seen in their lives? He could be dominant. Or, he could say "frick this. It's way to hard to dominate in this league where everyone is big and strong. I'm happy with a few million. The bare minimum is good enough".
