One of the 2 away games that I was looking at going to this year were Detroit and Baltimore. I am leaning more towards Baltimore. Has anyone been to either of these cities/stadiums and which would you choose?

I have been to Baltimore.

I would not choose Baltimore.

Have done both for baseball games, neither for football.

If I had to choose 1, I would choose Baltimore. From what I experienced, there appears to be a lot more to do in Baltimore, and with the train system you can easily hop around to other major cities.

If you're a baseball fan, Balt starts a 3 day home series against the Brewers that Friday, and follow that with another 3 day home series against the Blue Jays starting on Monday

Detroit has a 3 game series against the Rockies the Fri - Sun the Saints will be in town, then go on the road right after.

Now I want to look into a long weekend and catch Balt - Brewers on Sat, Saints-Ravens on Sun, Balt-Blue Jays on Monday

I went to Baltimore. Stayed in DC and took the train. It was a great trip especially since I never rode a train. The stadium was cool. Very windy. Good atmosphere. frick Detroit. If you want to go to a dome, go to the superdome

I have been to both cities quite often and always looked forward to Baltimore much more than Detroit. I found it a much more pleasurable as well as safer city to visit. The Inner Harbor in Baltimore is a fun party district but more than that is the proximity to DC. You'll be close to the Smithsonian, The National Gallery if into art, all the monuments, the White House tour. I used to love to go to Dupont Circle, and play chess. One of the best book stores anywhere is there Kramerbooks with a wonderful restaurant Afterwords. Phipps Gallery is nearby, again for art.

For Detroit, it'll be the game, restaurant, maybe visit Windsor, Canada. Other than that, not much else.

It’s not even close. Only reason we did Detroit was because we wanted to do a trip from Chicago to Niagara trip with some stops on the way and NYY was playing up there during Jeter’s final year

Stay in DC and travel to Baltimore for the game. The area by the stadiums in Baltimore is very nice, but you don't have to go far to be in terrible areas.

Baltimore probably gets my vote. Better food scene around the stadium and the crowd gets loud as hell when good teams come in. Detroit stadium is nice too though, can’t really lose either way.
