No thanks on Reich.

Be bold and hire someone like Steichen, not a retread that failed miserably.

Reich is a good coach, he was blindsided by the retirement of Luck and was in quarterback purgatory for the rest of his tenure, which he actually finished with a winning record.

Isn't their oline (strength of team) decimated with injuries this season?

If he loses Sunday, he should be gone Monday

He was 44-33-1 when he was fired and Irsay and their front office refused to draft a QB.

Brissett
Rivers
Wentz
Ryan/Ehlinger

Saints fans turning their noses up at Reich given what he did with absolute trash at QB is strange.

Should be, but I can't see them firing him mid-season

That's great.

Someone else can hire him.

I’ll take this as you can’t refute that he’s a good coach and admitting that your “failed miserably” statement is ridiculous.

This is just a reminder that they were 4-12 the season before Reich took over and Andrew Luck, their franchise QB, quit right before 2019.

Did he get fired midseason? He failed.

No retreads that failed.

He may be the greatest coach ever. I do not want a retread.

I actually want to make a bold hire, like they did with CSP. Loomis may not have that in him anymore, though.

We just went through Dennis Allen and you want to hire another lazy pick.

How about hiring someone up and coming that doesn't have any baggage? How about being inspired and bold and taking a chance on someone exciting?

Besides, I only see Reich taking a job with a clear QB situation after what he just went through.

I can’t imagine what DA says in his exit interview when they say “Dennis, we got you almost everything you said you needed in the off-season and you’re 3-6 even though a year ago your predecessor was 5-2 with and arguably weaker team riddled with injuries… how do you explain that?”

Comparing Allen and Reich is pretty dumb. Allen was 8-28 as a head coach. That is failing miserably, not being 44-33-1.

So you don’t care if they hire a good coach if they’ve coached before? You just want someone who’s unproven?

Strange, but ok.

Maybe, but you don’t turn your nose up at a good coach because he actually has experience.

If you could pair Reich with a high draft pick and let him have input on who the QB would be, that's an appetizing situation.

Reich and ballard went after rivers, wentz, and then matt ryan.

I do think reich is a decent coach

I think he’s good, but I’d much prefer their QB and WRs.

well we didn't settle for him....Unfortunately he was the #1 choice by a few at the top that essentially run every aspect of the team because the owner just trusts and defers everything to them. They didn't want to rock the boat and clearly thought the strength of the organization was them and not the coach.

Their QB wasn’t going to be able to get the WRs the ball, remember

a. I consider a "retread" a guy who's been fired twice

b. He didn't fail. Ownership fired him. Big difference.

The only things close to bold hires this year are on defense (Mayo, Ryans), unless you want to go crazy and try a Dorsey (gross).
