Daniels will be gone after the first two picks so unless the Saints can get there we aren’t getting him.

Of course Jayden Daniels would improve that team, but the Patriots aren't known for supplying their QB with anything other than spare parts on offense.

I'd much rather see him on a team with a higher competency on offense.

Part of the reason why I want Atlanta to win the division and for us to lose out somehow and get the number 7 or maybe even the number 6 (I doubt it) so that way it wouldn’t cost us as much to out leap someone like Tampa or Atlanta to grab Daniels if need be.

And if Atlanta wins the division, it would take a hell of a haul to move up from where they would be drafting at which would be 19 or 20. To go up to 4 or 5 would take an insane amount of draft capital most likely. It would probably take the Saints a good amount just to go from 7-8 into the top 4-5

His 40 time will probably be slower than what people expect. Plus, it’s largely irrelevant. There is no shortage of film of him as a runner

What will be looked at more is his weight. Though listed, I’d be surprised if he is actually 200 lbs right now. Can he bulk up enough before the combine to ease concerns? You’re going to hear his size (weight) repeated as a big concern for the next few months. Particularly with last year’s “light” #1 pick struggling the season.

You’re also going to have to find a team with a creative play caller who is willing to adapt their offense to his skill set. Like the Ravens and Eagles have done.

As of now, that ain’t the Saints. So for Daniels’s sake, it would probably be better for him to go elsewhere

Idk man. There’s still some reputable insiders that say NFL teams still love Maye as a prospect. I think Daniels will be a better pro but I still think Williams and Maye go above him

Kelly said Daniels, who decided to return for his senior season, weighs more than 210 pounds and looks sturdier and better equipped to deal with the physical nature of long season because of his diligence in the weight room.

This was back in April. If Daniels is indeed over 210 no one will bat an eye. He will land closer to CJ Stroud than Bryce Young (who is 5’10”)

Daniels gets to top speed faster than people think. I believe the combine will only help him

Who’s to say Maye isn’t Mitchell Trubisky 2.0?

No doubt he is fast. But I bet you are going to see many predictions of 4.2 and 4.3 before he runs, when he's more likely a 4.5ish (maybe high 4.4) guy. Daniels is one of those runners whose game speed is faster than his track speed. The reason is because he has tremendous vision and feel for space. He knows where he wants to get well before defenders can anticipate where he's going. He's cutting back on guys and leaving them flat footed. He often destroys angles by preemptively flattening out his path just enough to slow a defender down before blowing by him.

There are a lot of guys with pure track speed and no vision whatsoever (Leonard Founette comes to mind). Then there are guys who aren't moving exceptionally fast in straight line but who have such great anticipation that they are getting to spots before opponents even realize where they are trying to go.

The rumor is they will be trading for Fields in the off-season. Makes sense since their coach likes thise running style QBs.

If you're drafting high enough to get Daniels, you have to assume this current staff has been terminated.

But yeah, if Allen and company are still here, Jayden would be at a disadvantage.

When Daniels runs a 4.4 40 and makes every throw at the combine or Pro Day, he’s going to be a top 5 pick.

You mean like Randy Moss, Rob Gronkowski Wes Welker

Their current weapons don’t seem great but neither did Houston’s a year ago at this time, there is also talk Belichick may not be there much longer
I think long term he be better off on a team owned by Robert Craft than some shite organization like the Bears or Cardinals

Combine and interviews will go a long way here. I think he will shine in both and go #2.

Can someone explain the Drake Maye hype. I’ve watched him play two or three times expecting to see some stud qb (bc of mocks) and have been very underwhelmed
