Possibly? Williams will apparently go first. With Patriots and Bears having top 2 picks, could it happen? Damn well could....

I wouldn’t doubt a team like ATL makes a bold move up. Bears could theoretically trade down and stack up on draft capital giving fields one last chance.

Good chance. Both suck and have QB's so that JD would not have to start if they thought it best.

All the mock drafts still have Williams going first and Drake Maye going second.
Not saying that can’t change after bowls and the combine. I just haven’t seen any mocks with Daniels going that high.

Mocks don't know shite. After he runs the 40, he's going to blow past everyone. I predict he goes no. 1

Ok.

It’s way too early to tell. I’m just passing along information.

Teams saw fit to draft Mayfield and Murray 1.1, I can definitely see JD5 making settling in at 1.1 after the dust settles. Especially, with the apparent BS that comes with drafting CW.

A lot is going to change in the coming months. Remember when Will Levis was rumored to be the #1 pick and he drank that kool aid?

Trust me when I say that the Falcs want Daniels. They will make any move necessary to make it happen, because they view it as a thumb in the eye of NOLA since he comes from LSU which is NOLA's back yard.

Not to mention that Daniels will be a huge success as an NFL QB.

Saints FO better be ready! Otherwise Loomis will be saying: "This is a surprise to me. I had no idea that Atlanta would trade up and take Daniels. We wanted him to be a Saint, but, doggone those Falcs!"

if the saints had 2 of the top ten 1st round draft picks, the FO we have still wouldnt draft a QB.

they would pick a DL and a DB with those picks

I pray to God Jayden Daniels doesn't get drafted by the offensive shite hole that is the New England Patriots.

ETA: As far as the Saints are concerned, unless Loomis is removed as GM and Allen as the head coach, the Saints aren't drafting a first round QB.

Loomis isn’t making that call. Ireland is from the Parcells tree. Usually his prototypical qb that him or Parcells would draft is a multiple year college starter who graduated. They usually didn’t draft qbs who left for the nfl early. The below is more of what I’d imagine Ireland looking for. There’s only one qb that comes to mind in this years class.

Be a three-year starter.
Be a senior in college.
Graduate from college.
Start 30 games.
Win 23 games.
Post a 2-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio.
Complete at least 60% of passes thrown.

Maye is two years younger than Daniels and Williams one

Things GMs will consider with regards to developmental ceilings

Yes of course things can never ever ever change a team with a bad offense now will always have a bad offense. No way could taking a QB change things, just look at the Houston Texans oh wait….

I wonder what his 40 will be. Not sure how he starts, but his top-end speed should be good.
