i think if we end up picking in the mid teens he'll be there, and yes, i would take him. the problem is, we're going to have to restructure carr just to get under the cap. so we won't be cutting him after next year either.
it would be good to have carr as a starter next year and he can just play mentor in 2025 if daniels is ready.
would also be a good time to straighten out the oline, the cap, new coach, etc.

Daniels would be a great pick to reset the Saints. The Saints definitely need to blow up the team and rebuild. Bringing in Daniels would probably save interest in the Saints for a few years.

If they fire DA, I fully expect whatever coach they hire to get a pretty long leash. Like 3-4 years because there’s no way they’re keeping some of these contracts. And I would expect them to let Daniels sit and learn and not throw him to the wolves his first year or two with a shitty roster.
But if they don’t fire DA, I fully expect them to go Nabers or OT or Edge.

+1
Need an injection of youth to this team.

haven't either but Daniels has to be the fastest riser
I think he’s a bigger faster version of Mahomes with a stronger arm.
Someone is taking him in top 3. If he lands in the NFC South, better be with the Saints.
Gonna suck to face him - if he develops like I think.

I think he goes top pick in draft. It's all about numbers in combine.

Did you not see the draft last year? If that was the case, Anthony Richardson would have been the first overall pick.

Teams saw fit to draft Mayfield and Murray 1.1, I can definitely see JD5 making settling in at 1.1 after the dust settles. Especially, with the apparent BS that comes with drafting CW.
Caleb has consecutive years of dynamic production, doesn't have to put on weight, and is younger. I personally love Daniels, but I don't see him rising higher in GM's minds higher than 1.2 in the draft.

Making his point. Richardson went 4th overall and was terrible on the field. Like some historically bad numbers.
If Daniels pairs elite testing with his film and numbers, 1.1 will be in play

Williams has the most to lose leading up to draft day imo. Some people think he may not measure 6’. Lot of production on off scripted plays, poor defensive conference. Could see a scenario where he ends up going behind Daniels and Maye, depending on who is picking at the top.

There is just NO WAY he makes it out of the #5.

I’d be surprised if he’s less than a 4.40. I’m guessing a 4.42. This is combine, not pro day

If the Saints want him they best pretend to everyone that they don't need him at all.

Gordo, he’s +3500 to go 1.1 right now
Now’s the time to get the action

Mocks don't know shite. After he runs the 40, he's going to blow past everyone. I predict he goes no. 1
Wouldn’t shock me. Additionally, NFL QB’s are CEO types of your team with the media and the public. Caleb Williams a.k.a Mr. Fingernails, aka Mr Crying in the stands like a little bitch, aka Mr saying all kinds of stupid shite….. if Jayden blows his workouts away and by all accounts comes across as a decent dude, I would see teams seeing him more as your leader than Caleb.
