That sucks! Especially since this was a contract year for him.

For the 5,280th time. The team picked up his option. He is under contract in 2027

First day of practice has to mean he wasn’t ready. That doesn’t just happen as a freak accident.

Actually yeah that can happen as a freak accident. Are you under the impression that freak accidents have only a certain time frame they're allowed to happen?

Via Vea come on down.

Vita would be a good addition to just about any team, us included, but he & Bresee don't really provide the same skillset or service

I wouldn't trade for vea. Plus Breese and vea play 2 different positions.

And of course Vita Vea has to be on a division rival. They would never trade him to us

Vita vea wants to get paid and plays a different position than Breese.

Dear Lord in Heaven this team deserves a break and I don't mean a bone.

This injury has not prepared for training camp all over it. Non contact injury.

Man, I would be so pissed if I had to write a check to someone who gets injured on day one because he's out of shape. Not saying thats the case here, but I don't see how you can seem to have as many "shite happens" ,season ending injuries as the Saints have had over the years, without it being on the player and his lack of conditioning.

A lot of ACL injuries are non contact injuries.

What's you basis for saying he was not prepared for training camp?

Jus asking because you post seems to be just thrown shite against the wall.

This happens literally every year to half the teams in the league. Achilles and ACL tears in the first 3-4 days of full on training camp. Happens to some of the best prepared and in shape players in the league.

No amount of “being in shape” can really prepare your ligaments for being thrown back into the fire and you get a much higher percentage than normal of these non-contact injuries.

It's why every team gives 'are you ready for football' physicals. Bresee passed his.

well if the Saints weren't satisfied with the way he reported to camp and he had failed a physical or whatever they make them do they would have put him on the PUP list most likely

Bresee is 6'5, 305 lbs. Tears happen when unnaturally big dudes do very athletic things.
