The long term consequences can end up being real bad. This could seriously set the entire Organization back depending on coach and player fall out.

but I'd imagine this sets the franchise back a decade and will likely result in the Saints becoming a doormat of the league again.
no. we'll be fine. get drew's contract done, finish up FA and the draft. anyone think SP won't still be involved in game planning somehow?

After the saints win the super bowl this year they will really be pissed and then the NFL will suspend the entire team for a whole year!

NE cheats and get a less severe penalty than the saints do for motivation? And your laughing at me
Yes to both. The sanctions suck, but the yat meltdown is freaking hilarious.

Personnel wise, this organization is probably at the top of the NFL. What takes a hit are reputations here, as well as the overall perception of the franchise.
Point being, what goes on the field next fall will still be contending for another divisional championship.

The Saints are still going to kick the Falcons' arse. You still have Mike Smith as your HC.

yeah, it's those knockouts that turned the ball over FIVE times.
And yet it was our secondary taking terrible angles to make the hits that allowed the actual scores to happen.

RT @adbrandt: This would be a wonderful time for the Saints to announce an extension for Drew Brees. Leverage just shifted.

Concerning themselves with knockouts rather than 3-and-outs is why the Saints lost to the 49ers.
you don't win games when you turn the ball over five times

Maybe a Georgia team will finally beat Louisiana in football once.
Probably not.
Probably not.

The turnovers hurt, but so did Malcolm "El Toro" Jenkins trying to lay the wood to a certain tight end who had his career game against said knockout secondary.

Payton will lose $8 million while being suspended
