Goat, you've been borderline lately man.
Borderline genius.

Not a bad mock and it definitely hits LB hard(if we get Smith too, but I have my doubts with him) which I think is our biggest weakness.

Definitely understand the value not matching up with the WRs. All depends on how the rounds plays out before us. I actually like the Tulane kid, but I don't think he'll be as good a pick a someone like Stills was.

Trading up for Fuller would make me pretty unhappy.

I'm not sure any of the CBs still available in the 1st round are going to be impact players like PP7 (or other Top 10 guys).
We spent a pick on PRob a few years ago... and here we are again.

I'd really like to do a retro-spective review of player projections and results to see if we can determine the anatomy of a bust.
I'm sure GMs and NFL teams have a better handle on it, but for us couch guys.... we need better insight.

There's gotta be a right/wrong decision out of the WRs and CBs likely to be available at 27.
WR: Cooks, Lee, Matthews, Latimer
CB: Fuller, Dennard, Roby, Verrett.

Out of these 8...
Which is most likely to fit the Saints?
Which is most likely to be a bust?
Which is the safest pick?

Do not want 1st round CB unless it's Dennard or Gilbert.

This is of course imo but the highest bust chances are Lee and Roby. The safest picks I think are Cooks and Dennard.

I think between Ryan and Payton they'd find a fit for any of them.

I haven't done alot of research on Fuller, but what I did see was some exciting highlight plays, but alot of Meh outside of that.

Maybe I'm wrong.

Yeah I'm not big on Fuller, and my choice would be Gilbert, Dennard, and Verrett in that order but Fuller would be my 4th over Roby. There's some 2nd-3rd round guys I like the potential of more than Fuller, but Fuller is more polished than them.

Pretty much how I feel but I wouldn't mind Fuller either but the others scream busts to me

Roby=Jenkins
Verrett=PRob

Most people will say height, which is silly because he is about the same height as your average CB.

Nothing about his play or attitude I can find true negatives on(could use a little more polish of course). He goes hard.

Hell yeah, and despite what people say he can become a legit #2 corner in this league.

We went over this a while back about very few teams even having 2 legit to 6'2" WRs. The Bears are the only team with 2 6'3"+ guys that would scare you.

I don't buy that he'll be a career nickel, and nickels are practically starters now anyway.

Edit:
I was hoping someone would catch that.

Good comparison. Verrett actually measured less than an inch shorter than Greer at the combine, but has a vertical about 3 inches greater than Greer. Verrett also had 19 reps on 225, while Greer had 7.

Verrett is going to make some team very happy they took a shot on the "small" guy.

I was worried about you Blues. Glad to see you back! A man at your age who disappears during his proudest moments of the year sends up rad flags for me. Here's hoping you enjoy a smooth glass of Booker's tonight
