As a backup Winston is serviceable. But with a porous offensive line like we have I suspect Jalen Hurts would have a tough day.

Saints problems on offense went beyond the OL though. With no capable RB like Kamara or Jamal we become one dimensional. Then factor in that our best blocking TE was out as well.

But, Penning is a liability right now as LT and that is brutal because he is to protect a right handed QB's blind side and he is getting pushed back and run around on pass plays. Onthe other side, when the Saints add a TE or extra blocker to Penning's side the Defense shifts and goes right at Ram and Ruiz. Does not matter if Prentice is brought in as a fullback.

I was watching the blocking schemes over the last few weeks and the OL looks confused at times especially on the left side. I suspect Penning sometimes thinks he is going to have more help on his outside but does not get it .

Winston was under contract... Dalton wasn't. Couldn't just eat Winston's money

Agreed, just look at Allen’s track record as head coach. He’ll get it turned around no doubt!

Well, we spent a lot of money and fricked our future for that QB and we have looked like dogshit on offense with him, and the only argument for signing him was to win the division. So losing him really puts us in a bad spot and it' natural for fans to react to that.

I think most teams would have a problem if they lost their starting QB mid game.

The offense was struggling to put up points all game. It's beens struggling to score points all year.

We are, at worst, 1 game out of the #1 seed and probably tied for the division lead after tonight. maybe we don't make rash decisions?

Not gonna happen this year.

I think if its same old shite next year you HAVE to at least consider it, and put yourself in the Shadeur Sanders/Prime as HC sweepstakes.

My decision isn’t based on yesterday, but only reinforces my opinion that Allen can’t do it. And we are still kicking the Brees cap can among others down the road. We have been needing to bite the bullet and rebuild.

Every fan that wants a rebuild doesn't want it when it actually happens.

When every weak the announcers point out your lt is a beast in the running game but can't protect in the passing game, that is a problem

We’ve looked like absolute shite on offense in every game. A good team like 9wes, eagles, dolphins would run us off the field.

Offense was not on par but neither was the defense. Am I the only one that saw Love have plenty time to find an open receiver? Hardly no pressure at all the whole 2nd half. Pitiful. Both lines got beat all day and that's what lost the game for us. Oh and we did miss a game winning FG because the rookie choked up. It happens.

So much has to happen for this to be the case. All of you casuals come in and think we're boned but this defense is playing lights out and we have the softest schedule in the league. We could trot out Jake Haener the rest of the way and we'd still win 7 games. We've basically gone 2-1, almost 3-0, with next to no help from the offense.

I said earlier, you don’t tear shite down. I merely meant you don’t get rid of all your players and talent. If Allen isn’t getting it done, go get a new coach. Hell, a new GM is probably isn’t a bad idea. Once you start getting rid of talent, then you’re at the mercy of the draft. That’s a terrible place to be.
