Tre'Quan Smith said that Alvin Kamara addressed the team after the game and said they're not playing 'Saints football.' He said it's the first time a player has addressed the team "in that manner," and it really meant a lot to him that Kamara stood up and did that.
quote:

Kamara told the team: "We've got to find our spot. This losing mentality, that's not Saints football. We're not used to it. ... We've got to really police ourselves, hold our own selves accountable, hold our teammates accountable."
quote:

Smith said the team has always won, so losing isn't a feeling they're used to. He said the team is not breaking apart and "they don't like the feeling in their throat right now." He said its frustrating because they're capable and have been in all their games; mistakes are killer
Alvin… THIS IS SAINTS FOOTBALL.
The anomaly was the past 15 years. We have regressed back to the usual Saints.

I wonder if he thinks it’s Saints football to beat someone’s face in and get 5-10 years in prison

Or dox a white kid and claim he’s a racist

Is that “Saints football”

Seems like a discussion the head coach should have had with the team at least 3 games ago.

Yeah he hasn't been around long enough to realize that this really IS "Saints football."

I still think that they give this absent HC another season.

would be nice if we had a head coach that held his players accountable.

You can't replace a hall of fame quarterback in just a couple years. This is gonna take time.

This team has way more problems than QB.

I mean, I didn't watch the second half... But I can sense why he is frustrated. It seemed like he was averaging almost 10 yards a carry at one point but instead of running him more often we throw 3 INTs. He should have been able to carry this team. 11 for 50 or 49 could very easily have been 20 for over a hundred. I'm not saying we don't need to pass the ball, but we could have been able to control the game a little more with the run game.

was it a surprise to the front office that he got old?

I'm not expecting another Drew Brees on signing day...but we should admit the fact we never prioritized drafting a QB. I realize Ian Brook is only in his 2nd season but we've heard dick about him progressing. Tommy Stevens?

And this folks is the problem. 12 years ago the team held itself accountable for performance. These players don’t give a shite.

I've been saying this for weeks now that the Saints don't seem to have a leader in the locker room after Brees left.

Well most people aren't old fricks. You can't assume people been around here since 95. It's 2022...look around there are young fans and players everywhere that aren't a slave to our past.
